I prefer to appreciates people for who they are (man or woman / old or young) but I have had some amazing men in my life. I have met a few bad apples, but they can't take away from the good ones

1. Men may not always know the right thing to say or do when you’re crying, but they’ll try anything to make it stop.

2. Men may not realize you did something different with your hair, but you know they think you look good when you get a slightly surprised eye-brow raise when they say, “Hi. You look nice.”

3. Men may not always be the best listeners, but I assure you they hear you when you say “thank you” and mean it.

4. Men may not always be the best gift givers, but every now and then they will give you a gift that will knock your socks off and make up for all the last-minute presents they bought you at the store around the corner because they forgot (this one goes out to my baby brother who spent a year selling jolly ranchers at his junior high so that he could buy me the bracelet I had always wanted for my graduation).

5. If you want a man to fix something, all you have to do is ask him to “try real quick.” If you can get him to try once, I guarantee he will find a way to fix it out of sheer stubbornness, no matter how long it takes. (note: if you are running late, don’t ask him to try anything “real quick.”)

6. When you need a big hug, there is no better hugger in the world than a man who loves you (this one goes out to my dad, grandpas and brothers. They have given me the most amazing hugs over the years).

7. It might be frustrating when men refuse to ask for directions, but at least you know they will get you there eventually (plus it is kind of cute to watch them squirm in their own self-inflicted torment).

8. Men find great satisfaction in sharing their achievements with those they love.

9. Men don’t understand women. Fortunately, you can not understand someone and love and appreciate them anyways.

10. If you ever need someone to stand up for you, look at a man who loves you with puppy eyes and say, “They were mean to me,” and see what happens.

yep, and if you want a long lay in on a Sunday morning you've only got to ask. Some even do breakfast in bed ohwell

neither sex should be revered until they prove it's warranted... guys are mostly douches, and women are mostly just plain batchit crazy...

I agree with both genders are equally important and 1 not better than the other. I don't agree with the mostly parts though lol, but there are some whack a doos out there on both sides....and I usually attract the looney tune men laugh

there are lots of reasons to appreciate men.
I appreciate all the guys at my mechanics shop. they treat a lady with kindness and respect.
plus they make sure you won't get stranded. the owner says he would hate it if that was his mom and wants everyone treated with that respect.

or the friend who was my walking partner. knows im scared of dogs and would automatically switch spots with me to put himself between the dog and me.

the guys from my office who all took care of me like their little sister when a guy who hit my car tried to get in my face about it. since he made tgreats, they all volunteered to escort me to my car and kept an eye out.

ZIPPY and men like him who always respect ladies and volunteer to help. he stops to help a lady whose car broke down. or who attends an event just to keep a promise even though he's sicker than hell and would rather be home.

or my brother when I would be like my head wants to explode with a migraine and he would offer to fix me lunch. before he knew how to cook, it might be a simple sandwich and a cup of tea. but done so with lots of love.

this and many more are reasons to appreciate men.

even little boys like my 5 year old nephew who will hold the door open for the ladies even though the door almost pushes him because it's heavy.

I appreciate men because they are unbelivable friends. They would do anything for you simply because it is for you. Even if you have no way how to thank them except simple words: Thank you. They are able to forget their own needs just to do something for you - and you dont even have to ask them to. As a matter a fact you have to refuse their help for their sake, but youll never forgot it. They can be so unselfish, that you would give the last drop of blood for them whenever it would be needed. Because they have caring soul and you know that nothing compares to that.

another reason to appreciate men is because without them, we wouldn't be here. if you're a mom who loves your children, you may want to appreciate that a man helped make the beautiful child you have.

so lots of love goes to all the dads out there.

special appreciation for those who are step dads like mine was. because you choose to love us step children as your own.

There is nothing sweeter then having a man walk up behind you and put his arms around you... biggrin

Honestly people need to realize just because you find one bad apple the whole bushel is not bad. And the next one you are with had nothing to do with the last one. People need to learn how to move on. And with out blaming ever one they meet, thinking they will treat them the same way.. Therefore never giving the next one a chance. whoa

I myself work with all men I'm the only woman. And I love it we have fun we cut up and when I need something done I want a man around that can help me..
