thinking about how sometimes you plant an idea and pray for the best.
many years ago when I was younger and more naive (ignorant) than I am now, I was volunteering at the library teaching literacy to adults who never were able to go to school. my first student was a young mom who was in an abusive relationship. we talked and she needed someone to listen. our first couple of sessions we spent less time studying and more time letting her vent. somehow God gave me words for her. (I was young, dumb and had never even been in a relationship). I remember telling her something to the effect of have faith, know you're worthwhile and strive always for you and your beautiful child. she soon had to quit her classes because the man in her life back then was controlling and didn't want to see her get ahead. I told her you have your books and enough of the basics to get started. even if you can't come to class, never give up on yourself. I almost cried when we talked today at my nephew's softball game. her then child is almost grown and she has another little boy who is my nephew's teammate. she left the abusive relationship. she remembers I told her never give up. she kept studying secretly. learned to read and write and has a decent job. she says her prayers were answered and she now lives a happy life. |

THinking ... good thing I didn't go out last night... Just heard on the news there was a serious fight last night, around the time I might have gone home :/
75 (!!!) Germans were arrested, they had to get police in from other areas of the county, bouncers jumped in to help the police. Effing Germans.. Glad I stayed home! |

where did the weekend go..
finger f***** my phone... . all weekend.... ran some errands cleaned up the house... had a major flood..lol.. I was planning on being outside more !.but the weather has been crappy out..soo.. Monday now is fast approaching... I feel ripped off. .. but hey the upside is.. I didn't spend gobs of money.... buying a bunch of crap I didn't need... or taking someone out I did not want to go out with.... just because I was bored.. .... ok horny..lol |

doing chores and homework did get the grocery shopping and laundry caught up and easter stuff put away wondering if I am ready to tackle the week ahead did I get everything that I had on menu what about tuesday did I buy anything for dinner on tuesday knowing I did not go on a date out of choice too much to juggle for this mama right now |
