but how many times makes it irreversable? two? three? Four?

my point is there are many variables, although people brush over it women can also be abusive and there are unspoken situations where both parties are damaged and unaware of how to control their anger and not lash out,,,but only the man is focused on,, which is a shame

learning to control anger is as possible as managing alcoholism or drug abuse,, to say that people cant change is a very sad view of the potential of human beings,, whatever it is they need to change,,,

all that is necessary is something that inspires them or triggers change, just like there are usually triggers to their problem(Be it drinking or lashing out in anger)

the question isnt about sticking around, but rather whether people can change ad whether second chances are reasonable

to both I say,,, yes, usually it will take apart time to regroup and deal with the issues that are often behind the violence, but it can and is done without resulting in death

every situation is different because peoples circumstances and motivations are different

human beings have the potential for change

whether they choose to do so ...well now that is up to them

has there ever been an alcoholic who sets that bottle down and never touches it again? yes

has there ever been a drug user who got out of rehab and never did it again? yes

but when it comes to things like abuse, rape, murder, child abuse

the kind of person that fits that kind of profile? the stats on non repeaters is not good

I for one don't think that it's not right for either party to lash out at each other in anger because it won't solve anything at all, apart from both parties being hurt emotionally from the nasty words being hurled. The worst can be the physical attacks and it's mainly known that men are the main ones whom hurt the women they love and it's certainly a sad fact.

I think all we know is that its not good for those who end up incarcerated,, for others with a chance to change and not be in a situation where their rep for badness keeps them alive,,,,,the stats are probably much better

if they have a support system and the motivation,,,

I personally think Americans, British etc are very violent that is why they scream shout a lot and get grumpy as well. This is because the violence behavior they have or because of frustration from the violence they are getting from others. So this eventually make them violent person. Specially the concept of getting single again and again and again make them violent. It is possible i am wrong but i think this is basic reason for people becoming violent.

Why do we ignore Mayweather's domestic abuse?

That Mayweather is a serial batterer of women cannot be disputed. According to the sports website Deadspin, Mayweather has had at least seven assaults against five women that resulted in arrest or citations in addition to other episodes in which the police were called but no charges filed.

Sad, sad. Very sad indeed. smh Today's news too by CNN. indifferent

Isn't that the rapist capital of the world? I had a crazy stalker from Paki who didn't understand the meaning of "No" and "Not interested". I already told the details of this horrible experience before on another thread.

Anger is not a feeling, it is a reaction to a feeling.

Fear of rejection, lack of confidence, lack of intelligence, lack of safety, etc. All can bring an angry reaction.

Learning to realize what triggers those feelings, is the key.

OLD saying

"When you're in the RIGHT, you CAN afford to keep YOUR TEMPER.

When you are it the WRONG, you CAN'T afford to LOSE IT."

Gandhi

"When you LOSE CONTROL, YOU give CONTROL, to SOME ONE ELSE.

YOUR CHOICE, I CHOSE to CONTROL ME!!

Profile of a Domestic Abuser

The first thing to know about any abuser is that he is a normal man. There is nothing unusual about him, nothing to indicate he is an abuser.

Every abuser believes he has a right to control a woman. Their need to control is far greater than his capacity for love of the woman or the children.

Abusers don't forget about their abuse, they just deny it.

Abusers minimize the impact and effect of their abuse. They make it less than it is which makes us feel that we are over reacting.

Abusers blame their partner for their abuse. They may blame alcohol, drugs, their parents, their job anything but themselves to justify their behavior.

Abusers tend to associate with other abusive men. They invite support for their abuse from other people.

This explains why my father and the father of my child get along so well.

In psychology, emotion is often defined as a complex state of feeling that results in physical and psychological changes that influence thought and behavior

anger:Displeasure , hostility. An emotional state that may range in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury and rage

so at least in field of psychology, anger is indeed defined as an emotional state
