Does it really happen or is that something for the movies and works of fiction?

I'm not sure

I think you can see someone and have a chat and think, 'wow, she's really nice' but love, I think it takes a little more, although that first glance can set you on the road to bliss.

There is too! It happens the first time that parents see their new-born child.

Well, some people say they are married to or in a relationship with some people where it was love at first site. Maybe it was a strong attraction when first meeting and developed to marriage over time. There are a lot of things that go into love. It seems kind of rare that 2 people when first meeting, fall into love, and it lasts for the rest of their lives.

No, I don't believe it to happen. I think maybe a strong physical attraction, but not love.

I think true love has little to do with physical attraction.

I thought long and hard before I answered this, but you're right, I'm a sucker for a bit of romance, whether it involves me or someone else flowerforyou

Would that be like this?: "The last time I looked at my ex, she was being led away in handcuffs, and I loved it."

love at first sight...Does it really happen

Only in hindsight.

Love is a process.
The human brain is a wonderful thing.
People mutate, and adapt, and mix all sorts of things together.
It's possible for someone to go through that process within an extremely short period of time.
It's why the phases of falling in love are given in average ranges, rather than exact categorical measurements of hours, minutes, and days.

is that something for the movies and works of fiction?

What's for the movies and works of fiction is it working out if one person feels "love at first sight."

Seriously, if one person falls in love at first sight, it's going to screw everything up if the other one just follows the normal timeline and comes to that conclusion in a matter of a few months or year(s).

How do you feel when someone says "I love you!" on the first date?
How do you feel when you say "I love you!" and they say "hmmm, that's nice. I really like you."
Remember your behavior on the last first date you had, now remember the behavior of the last person that "loved" you? "Clingy" comes to mind.

Usually, things don't work out unless both people are generally on the same page at approximately the same time.

My ex actually was led away in handcuffs after she shot the next male person foolish enough to marry her.
I would have loved to have seen her taken away that way.
