All of the Chinese restaurants I've been to in the states serve ether green tea with jasmine or genmaicha (green tea with toasted rice).

I think genmaicha and green tea are popularized by japan.....good chinese teas are the likes of oolong, chysanthemum, and some mixed leaf and fruit teas (lotus, almond, red date)...always loose leaf...no additions like honey, cream, sugar...nonononono....

But regular chinese restaurant house teas in asia are usually black and red...also loose leaf...

My favorite tea would be African Nectar and sharing A Famous Lemon Bar....a game of scrabble on a table top between you and me (lady)...and pitting our minds to the task!!!!
