a love letter made with your own little hands
a dinner cooked with love
a nice glass of wine
good conversation
a back rub
a body rub
loving til the morning light or til ya pass out and snore...

These should be everyday occurrences...except the letter writing laugh

On Valentines, he will be cleaning the bathroom.
So, I get everything I want :-)

 rofl
I would be perfectly happy with that, too.

WOW ..if cleaning the bathroom is the highlight of your romance that doesn't say much about the relationship...just sayingnoway

If someone knows you well enough to hit the g-spot
(gifts) it is indeed a huge turn on.

Afterwards...see rewards in there??

Oh! yah...24 years of marriage...and I cannot remember getting a single bottle of Teacher's or Johnny Walker Swing Scotch whisky as, what would be considered a thoughtful gift on Valentines...But I sure remember un-clogging the kids, toy filled, toilet one year, and that action really killed the romantic mood for me....Yup, it was always about HER...just saying...

Nothing. Valentine's Day is not a holiday.

I don't use to celebrate valentine's day, even when i have been in a relation, but i think a good gift for me, in any day would be chocolates and books :). Good night to all.

valentines is not just for a day that should be everyday for lovers...so for me spending time together..walking at the beach under the moonlight or stargazing is much appreciated than fancy gifts

Valentine's day is not just about flowers, chocolates, cards or a dinner....all the material things given are irrelevant, it's the thought that counts remembering the special day of the love you have shared with each other, showing your appreciation for the presence of that particular person in your life filling your heart with love and joy. Showing simple acts of affection is enough to make someone feel loved and special.......hmmmnnnn......a hug, kiss and your presence (physically, mentally or spiritually), being together in the celebration of your love is all that matters. And it's not just this particular day that you celebrate and show your love but it should be everyday, a lifetime celebration of a beautiful gift of love.

As always Dolphin your message is warm loving and straight from the heart. Why anyone has to dissect and criticise the sentiments expressed therein is more a reflection on the sad state of the other person than anything you said.I believe most people will take more from your simple message than an encyclopaedia of whining from an egocentric self appointed critic.Acknowledging that I have made the occasional inappropriate comment myself. flowerforyouflowerforyou flowerforyou

so I belong to more than one site

one of them is a bodybuilding site
lot of members are old married guys
who are choosing not to get their wives anything

I see this all the time..

this whole " I am not going to celebrate this holiday" mentality
protesting the whole commercialism of red heart shaped boxes of candy
and diamond necklaces and over priced roses..and over crowded restaurants..

I wonder ..when did this happen in your life? or were you always like this?

most holidays have been commercialized so why is it this one you choose to pass by without celebrating?

did you do this in your marriage?

For me it's about spending time with each other.
If you want to be together the only thing that will strengthen your relationship is time doing things together.
It's not a one day thing its everyday

Money in this sense is nothing.
Chocolates make you fat
Flowers die
Undergarments can cause great distress
A meal can be just as romantic (or naughty) at home when you both cook.

A card can reveal what that other person is feeling but they can't find the words themselves to say.

Ok I sound cheap but to me it's the person himself not what's in his wallet.
