I've never come across this until recently, and it was!
I had to question myself when we first met on a meet & greet.
He was too nice and just smiled at me on the entire date.
I thought surely he's from another planet...
Everything I said, oh you're so sweet!
I just wanted to see how we clicked and I have never come across
this type of person before.
Is something wrong with me?
I don't have a problem with chivalry, but this was beyond that.
Any thoughts here?

And before you say anything about abusive relationships-no I have never been in one.

If you are able, perhaps give him another 'date'.. some guys are just nice, as Maxsterx suggested..

I know a few guys that a that sweet.

To be honest if I didn't have the benefit of knowing them for years, I would have dismissed them as fake, but 5 years and more into interacting with them, I am convinced that they are genuinely this way.

Give the guy a chance. and pay more attention to the way he treats waiters, cashiers. cleaners etc

If he is genuine, he will treat all people nice. Not just you.:)

Your instincts are telling you, something is wrong. So much so that you are talking about here.
Don't question yourself or your intuition.

I don't think she said she sensed anything wrong, just that she's never experienced a person like this before.

Of course he is being nice.. It may take another date or more talking with him... give it time look for signals, the way he talks to others when things happen like the dinner is talking a longtime to come to the table... how does he behave? but still keep to the public date and place..

Good Luck!

Hey....this friend of mine was on a date with this guy she met online. They were in the same car at the McDonald's drive-thru and he whipped out his pecker. So.....I think you got off easy. laugh

This is why I always take my own car to meet anyone till I get to know them...

Honestly he might have felt weird but then maybe he was trying to make sure the date went good.. And possible just over did it..

I'm a talker when around others.. when on a first meet I do try not to talk too much but then I can't stand the dead air feeling either.. whoa So sure some have went back and thought damn she never shuts up!!slaphead

So anytime in doubt then go ahead try another date.. That is if there was an attraction or some sort of connection.. If just a kind of weird feeling forget it and move on...

This is why.. I always mix just the right amount of niceness with just the right amount of hard to get with just the right amount of bad boy butt..I'm really not all that hard to get.... if you're too nice it comes off as creepy... like mr. Rogers creepy...lol..
Says the man wearing a sweater that mr. Roger himself would wear..lol

Maybe a second date in a public place will be best to see if things are the same but if you reall don't think you could have a second date let him no as soon as you can x
