or perhaps I should say intolerant.

say you are having a conversation with someone
shooting the breeze about this and that

and something comes out of their mouth...

and suddenly...those alarms start a ringing in your brain

red flag...code word: abandon mission..retreat!!

I think I'm very tolerant.. if someone says or does something and I see a red flag.. I take a step back (mentally) and 'observe' where things go from there.. if patterns start to form based on red flags.. I'm outta there in a flash!

The same with Zero_Effected I am very tolerant. When I see red flag in someone's behavior , I keep a little distance but still trying to be nice and polite then just let him go on as I observe his ways and manners. Let him be himself , as comfortable as he could be till I see who he really is. But I always give someone a chance if he is willing to make a move to change......sometimes how we behave towards others , in time they also try to conform with the way we behave. How we influence others depends on the behavior we display that could make a positive impact in their lives thus a possible change could happen:smile: happy

It really all depends on what is said and what the situation is.

I'm one that normally tends to pop right back with something.

I'm tolerate to a point with about anything someone may pop off..

But I have no problem telling someone they were in appropriate with what they may have said...

I gotta a helluva sense of humor

as long as the joke is not actually a dig on my character or who I am as a human being..

certain personality traits I have uh...issues with

I will instantly break communication if I suspect any of following:

drinking to access
drug habit
gambling problem
cheating on wife
lying
control issues

Well I say, do you hear that? They say what? I hear my mom calling me, (running). If I start talking to someone and a racist rant comes out, that's the red line for me. Other than that I had a friend who was a Satan Worshiper, until he woke up! Even when he was making fun of me for my faith, I would just laugh. He used to get mad and say, why don't you hate me?!?! I told him, well your just not connected to a truepower source. Your a dead circuit. When it's time you will see. Now that guy has 3 pretty blond daughters that Call me uncle Beto. By the way, this is one of the guys whose life I saved. He was going to kill himself with a shotgun. True story, thank God.

On one hand, the list of things I can't tolerate has actually decreased as I've gotten older, but at the same time, the intensity of my disdain for the few things I cant tolerate has sharply increased laugh

But I still maintain civility though happy

I'm more then tolerant to Red Flag situations.

That's like hitting my GO button.

It signals my turn to raise some MUCH larger Red Flags of my own.

And..... boy do I.

Hell, I am a Red Flag situation.

You got my juices flowing on that one OP.

So I have a friend in jail for one of those or better. You know I am going to be there for her when she gets out. But you know what that's what friends are for
