I hate the threads on age being nothing but a number and its related MILF and cougar threads
I am with Peggy on this.100% . Whenever I see this , not only my blood pressure goes up... I want to shake these persons until all their teeth rattle and drop, asking them... " Having a problem, is it? " |

The ones I hate are who would you like to meet,any of the political or racial threads.

Don't even sweat that Pegs. Anyone who gets offended from "that", has too thin of skin to be here. Honestly Beach. If someone told me they were offended by something I said, I would stop. These threads are intended to give people a giggle , not hurt their feelings I've never visited that 'rumours' thread, doesn't appeal. But I do know some ppl can use such threads to vent nasty things, using the excuse it's a funny topic only. Right now I think the main group of active members is quite nice and amiable, when I first got here that was not the case. There was this clique that was nasty to most everyone who wasn't in that clique and/or not liked by them. So such topics can be tricky .. |

The ones I hate the most are in the religious forums!
If you don't like a thread, skip it.... There is no need to take the mickey out of anyone's beliefs. And what boggles me even more is that Mingle does not adjudicate on these, it actually allows the piss takers to take the piss. Shame really.

Mine is start a scandalous rumor. Possible to hurt someone, while you think it's a joke. Just a mean outlet imo. Never visited it. Oh yeah! This one can get ugly real fast!!!! Lol. Most of the time the comments are cute and harmless though. |

I can't stand the guys versus girls game. I use to play it pretty competitively but now it gets on my nerves. I always have to edit my number. I could bump it from three days and by the time I post someone has beat me to it. Grrrrrrr....

I totally get where Rob, Marie and you are coming from Crystal, and personal attacks must never be condoned. I think because the present community gets along so well, I never really got to see the "mean" potential of the scandal thread. On the other hand , I see the "mean" potential regularly being displayed in the political, racial , and religious threads, where as Jaan Doh reported , "the piss takers" are regularly allowed to take a piss on others . And the impact THERE, is way more hegative in my opinion because some of the posters attack the very core of who people are. Unlike the game threads. where evil intentions can be thinly veiled under the guise of fun, (and few people abuse that facility),the abusive racial, political and religious posters do their sinister work ouvertly and repeatedly. Those threads are 100 % more harmful in my opinion, because they give people a legitimate platform to attack the core of who people are and perpetuate institutionalised hatred. And a larger percentage of minglers utilise those threads for evil than any of the game threads in my opinion. |

If you don't like a thread, skip on by. If a forum section annoys you, go to your settings and remove it so your 'sensitivities' can't be 'abused'. I've said it before....this site is TAME by internet forum standards. Jesus H. Christ, it CAN be a huge sewing circle at times though. |

it CAN be a huge sewing circle at times though. I like sewing circles...  As far as the rumour thread.. I get that it can get ugly as "any" thread can. I just leave... That is the wonderful thing about the internet if something isn't to your cup of tea leave it alone. That particular thread is one I do play in with friends, and yes I guess I will admit to some that doesn't know the relationship between the people could get the wrong impression and to me it is all in fun. Because I honestly haven't seen a post in there that anyone could take seriously about anyone. The thing I have always liked about Mingle is the goodness of 98% of the people here. We are smaller and we all kind of get to know one another. |

But I mostly hang out on spiritual forums and there you get a whole different kind of ppl. |
