Has your life turned out like you expected?

Is your career as you planned it?

Did you start the family you always wanted?

I don't think I really planned my life. But I am happy with wh I am today and with what happened in my life yesterday. I remember that the higher people climb the harder they fall. Good people makes mistakes and bad people make intention. I know that I control my triggers and emotions. I learned that pain is temporary and joy lasts a lifetime.

So, yeah it turned out well.

Nope, I thought I have organized my life before, I wanted to have a happy family and a successful career...but things in life happens unexpectedly . I had a good career before I was on my way to the top, but the world keeps on spinning sometimes you're up , other times you're down, either way I don't have regrets.....I have to stand up and start all over again every time I stumble .... that's just life , we don't own it, there are uncontrollable circumstances yet we shouldn't stop from going after our dreams. We may not be able to get all we want however setbacks in our lives shouldn't hinder us from dreaming , believing and hoping that someday we will achieve ithappy  flowerforyou

Hell no. Not one damn thing about the world as I thought it was supposed to be like when I was a child, turned out to be true. Except the most basic things, like that this is Earth, and at least most of us appear to be humans.

Past that, almost every effort I made to shape my life didn't work, and my life went as circumstances and outside forces dictated, and I did my best to cope.

Great career, great life, but OMG
the speed at which it passes
has been a complete surprise.

Has your life turned out like you expected?

Hell no.
I thought for sure I'd be piloting transforming space planes as part of a secret G.I. Joe task force by now. F'ing obama.

Is your career as you planned it?

Not as I planned it when I was 5, 8, or 14.
But pretty much as I planned it when I first started doing what I'm doing.

Has your life turned out like you expected?

I always thought if you worked hard you could go far in life but it seems that no matter how hard I try I always seem to end up exactly where I started.

Is your career as you planned it?

All I ever hear is "You meet the qualifications but we went with someone that had more experience." So how am I supposed to get the experience if no one will hire me in the field I have a BS in?

Did you start the family you always wanted?

All I'll say to this is I wouldn't be here if I had and fat chance of it happening now, I'm old enough to be my child grandfather if I had one now.

So to sum up the short answer to all three is not just no but HELL NO!

It's been a roller coaster ride for sure, and things did not go as planned, but I like where I have landed,I have a steady job and I am trying out for a better one soon, I bought a house a year ago 10 miles from the ocean and I enjoy the walks and mugs of coffee on my walks there at night.. Yes for myself life is good and I feel very blessed.

Has your life turned out like you expected?
No, but it worked out the way it should for me

Is your career as you planned it? No, but it worked out the way I needed it to be

Did you start the family you always wanted? I had the family, yes, also worked out differently than I had expected when I was younger though.

Moral ... don't latch on to expectations too much... Life will take you where you need to be.

Has your life turned out like you expected? I have never really expected anything except that my life was supposed to magically work out along with my happiness if I worked hard, had good values, helped others, and did as I was expected. Now, at 45, I find myself very unsatisfied. I've accomplished many things that others have told me they admire and respect. But, none of those things mean anything to me.

Is your career as you planned it? No, I never really had a plan. I have found, like others I'm sure, that many times you take what you can get and you make it work. Although my skill set is vast, I've never found a passion for anything.

Did you start the family you always wanted? No. I never wanted one. I did help in the raising of a few children during a couple long-term relationships though.

Funny, after I read what I typed it kind of sounds like an advertisement for religion. As in, "God will bring meaning to your life." Too bad I am an atheist.

We must have been standing side by side doing the head banging, haha.
At least we both were in good company?

Not even close... I didn't have lofty aspirations to achieve a good career I wanted to be a wife and mom... I got to do those things.. Mom forever wife nope...

Is your career as you planned it?

Actually better than I expected, with all the twists and turns I found my niche in what I was meant to do academically and professionally

Did you start the family you always wanted?

Actually, I only wanted 2 children hubby wanted six so we compromised, so as far as children are concerned yes I got the family I wanted and more. I will always feel my children were cheated since they grew up without a father. Not our choice yet it is a fact and I firmly believe that children deserve to have a 2 parent household or at least both parents in their lives. There are some things fathers have a tough time teaching as there are for mothers to teach their children. Need both of them.

Has your life turned out like you expected? I'm not dead yet, so no.

Is your career as you planned it? Nope, but I didn't expect to be alive still.

Did you start the family you always wanted? Nope, I wouldn't want children to possibly inherit Bipolar disorder, and live thru the hell I go thru on the daily.
