It's a great plan, mightymoe. President Trump will be able to work with both the House and Senate, provided they want to work with him on what really matters to the American people.
For the first time in a long long time has the U.S got itself a president who truly represents the people and not private interests in Washington.
It's going to be a very interesting time going foward because you know that the Dems will not leave it alone. They are, as we speak, formulating ways to sabotage the coming Trump administration and tie his hands in political quagmire or even create false-flag attacks to cripple the country's infrastructures such as electricity or the Stock Market.

I was hoping for a plan that would help all those who wanted to leave the country if Trump won the election. Maybe free one way tickets to where ever they wish to relocate to.

I've always liked the guy, and his polices meet my standards as opposed to ignorant and rude Hillary

His first hundred days in office..?
Well... if anything it should be good for a laugh..

The libs "do this" all the time.
Make a bunch of promises, have a bunch of ideas generally listed that sound good, hoping to change things for the better, and in reality it all turns into a horror show.

The first two sound spectacular to me, but this one is strangely worded:



I mean, I agree with the *point* of it, but as worded it seems stupid and naive. Anyone who has ever worked with a lawyer or a politician knows that this is useless. A 'regulation' is a kind of 'unit' of policy-making-language. If you impose any kind of numeric restriction on them, "they" will just scale the unit. They'll just change the way they count the regulations. I mean, the division of policy language into discrete units of 'regulations' is often arbitrary to begin with.

You can see this for yourself be comparing the local ordinances of two neighboring towns. They often mimic each other, but organize their policies into ordinances differently, sometimes grouping certain ideas together and sometimes breaking them out into separate ordinances.

I'd be curious to see if the Trump people formalize this into something meaningful.

Obviously he means enacting these *specific* policies.

As in: How did we come to 2016 and not have done this already? Why did we need Trump?

I mean, if people thought they were unconstitutional, wouldn't they take that to a court to decide? How is it decided what is unconstitutional or not, otherwise?

Unless maybe he is saying: "We will use our own opinions as to what is not constitutional, because the courts have allowed things they shouldn't have"

First, the Democrats DID try to do a lot of this, during Obama's time in office. The Republicans blocked it all, even when they thought it was a good idea, because they had only one agenda and one loyalty: make the economy as bad as possible, in order to make the Democrats, and Obama in particular, look bad.

Now. As to what Trump is proposing. Mitch McConnell, Senate majority leader, has declared that he flat out opposes much of what Trump wants.

There will be no term limits.

Infrastructure rebuilding is "not high on their agenda."

Trying to repeal the ACA might happen, because they are on the same page there.

The famous Wall, McConnell avoids talking about, which means he and the Senate Republicans wont support it.



In general, as you may recall from the campaign days, the Republican Party leadership doesn't like Trump. The only person they dislike more than Trump, was Clinton.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens.

And by the way, this is why I emphasized a while back in other threads, that it isn't so much who gets elected President that matters, it's who the people vote in to the House and Senate. And the same Americans who gave Trump the White House, gave the Senate to the Republicans who oppose Trump.

For some people coming over the border, this might not be much of a deterrent, giving how many rights inmates have in this country.

Hey, it's a plan. More then we have been getting for the last 8 years.

And he should be graded on it just like every politician should.. on actual results. Applauded if he does well, take to the carpet if he does not deliver.

There will be those that agree with him, and also those that give him a chance to " deliver" and then there will be those that will condemn him regardless of successes.

2 hiring freeze, bad

3 taking away 2 regulations for every new one,, overly simplistic and silly

4 5 year ban on lobbying after leaving office, fine and in line with civlians

5 no lobbying for foreign government, too restrictive

6 no foreigners raising money for US elections, bad, since, well 'global relations' americas actions impact alot of other countries

7 renogotiate NAFTA, dont trust his interests,, bad

8.withdrawal from TPP,,, more information needed jury out

9. labeling China currency manipulator,, pointless

10 id unfair trade abuse and end immediately, useless due to vagueness

11 lift restrictions on dirty energy,,, bad

12 withdraw from climate change programs...bad

13 cancel executive orders( I think he means 'rescind'), silly rhetoric

14 replace Justice Scalia, depends on with whom jury out

15 cancel funding to sanctuary cities,, bad

16 deport illegal immigrants and cancel visa.. terrible

17 suspend immigration when vetting cannot 'safely' occur,, again, too vague

18 middle class tax relief,,,, believe it when I see it jury out

19 End offshoring,, good

20 school choice and education, jury out

21 repeal and replace OBamacare with HSA,, healthcare is a need and not to be controlled by bean counters and for profit corps, poor idea

22. affordable childcare and eldercare,, already being done

23. end illegal immigration, the wall is unrealistic, penalties already existing


24 Task force on violent crime. GREAT if it doesnt follow the lead of 'war on drugs' jury out

25 Restoring national security, most of them already existing

26 Clean up corruption, empty and vague, like 'end sickness'
