Why is it women always want a dish washer when you get a new kitchen and worst they make you get one by saying all you do is put things in and take them out clean when there done , then spend most of their time wanting someone to fill it and clean it and empty it .

I remember years ago my aunt and uncle moved to a senior park in Arizona. She had him take out the stove and put in a dishwasher.
Go figure.

I have a dishwasher in my apartment but never use it. It's just me and I don't use that many dishes.

Having one might make a difference when selling your house, though.

Ah the good Ole days.

When you washed the dishes in the stream...
And you dried them off by laying them on hot rocks near the fire..

I only found out by accident that your supposed to put washing liquid actually in with clothes in that little cup thing that covers the cap on the bottle. I was just putting it in that little draw thing where powder goes.

I'd be knackered with a dishwasher. Modern technology is meeeeeh.

Either by machine or manually ..
I'm so sick of doing dishes..lol..
Breakfast dishes lunch dishes dinner dishes a never-ending stack of dishes..
. Sure you can hide them away in your dishwasher but eventually you going to run out of clean dishes... and when that day comes!.. your going to curse the dishwasher gods.. because you forgot to turn the machine on earlier..lol

My X was compulsive. She HAD to do the dishes.

On my own, I don't mind doing my dishes and doing them right. I just do them at my own pace. I rinse and set them aside till I have a sinkfull. Usually when I run out of coffee cups.

I wouldn't complain about a dishwasher but I don't care if I have one or not. I live in an apartment so ripping out cupboards and messing with the plumbing is a nono.

I could buy a countertop portable but ... meh.

I have never wanted a dish washer. It doesn't bother me at all to wash dishes by hand. I know how to cook, so I never have burned pots and pans. If a guy wants to wash dishes, I'm good with that. I dislike paper plates and plastic forks and spoons.

I totally agree with you. Plastic utensils just wind up in the landfill, taking forever to break down. Not good for the environment.

By myself I do use paper and plastic utensils. I keep light plates for sammiches and quick dry foods (butter my toast on them to reduce mess).
I have HD plates for wet gooey foods and certain quick meals I make.
I have dinner paper plates with rims for extensive meals I make.
I use paper bowls too. Small and large.
I also keep Solo cups available for one up drinks but I have two glass glasses in the freezer at all times. Love Frosted Pepsi

I wash my plastic utensils. lol. (Yeah, I know) but it does take a long time for them to wear out or break so landfill issues are not there. I buy the higher quality ones.
