Um bubba gets probed in the cornfield again...

Then they put a warning beacon at the edge of solar system stating " no intelligent life beyond this point."

Actually, there are several such warning beacons at the edge of Earth's solar system.
Also, the warning says, "No indigenous intelligent life beyond this point."

Being intelligent they would simply avoid this chaotic and socially retarded world and seek life somewhere else as little here has been found,.

Except that planet Earth doesn't have extradition treaties with other planets, which makes planet Earth a perfect hide-out for ... Uh ... Never mind.

Well.. if they made it out to the universe this far to reach our planet..
I would only imagine they are a civilized and intelligent species...
Much further up in the evolutional chain and far more technologically advanced then we are... so if I put myself in their shoes for a minute.. that's if they even have feet to wear shoes on..lol... first order of business observe the planet... gather Intel.. break the language barrier... we have lots of diverse languages on this planet.. would be hard to pick which one to.. master in order to communicate... learn strength and weaknesses..of the indigenous race..
.. now if I came in only one ship providing I came in a ship.. spacecraft..
I would probably be pretty protective of it seeing that it's my only ride home...lol... so I would probably be camped out somewhere at a safe distance observing you.... now the question needs to be asked why am I interested in you and your planet..hmmmm.. do I need something from your planet do I have information for you.. am I just an explorer...well.. that comes with its own prime directive.. as we have heard of this on Star Trek... do not interfere with another species evolutional pace...so.. that being said highly unlikely aliens will ever come to this Planet anytime soon... because basically we are still cavemen pounding rock against Rock.. we still burn fossil fuels.. to propel Us an keep us warm.... not something a .. intelligent species would still be doing.. if they were ready for a visitor from outer space...nope.. I can imagine that's one of ther criterias..
Must not live in Little Boxes and burn fossil fuels...yup..

if they ever do get to earth....they'll never be able to

wrong forum, off topic and completely ignorant...

people should hope the aliens never come in a force... look at what we do to the lessor animals here, no telling what they would do...but it won't be peaceful...

right...NO TELLING what they would do.....
but somehow, you have been blessed with the knowledge that it won't be peaceful...
you must be so special....or completely ignorant...

thanks for noticing... but look at it this way - we, as a species on our own planet, take what we want, ruin the lands for any other species, and push every animal off the lands we want... so what makes you think aliens would be any more kind than us?

I imagine they'd be pretty disappointed in us. We made it to space. We made it to our own moon. We're working on making it to Mars, and admittedly we seem to be knuckling down more now than before on that front. But we're still more interested in killing each other than exploring space. I imagine if I traveled all that way only to find that the only space-faring species on the planet puts more effort into ending life than they do into finding it, out there somewhere, I'd probably turn my ship right back around and go find someone else to talk to. Unless they're even bigger jerks than we are, that is, at which point we'd be pretty easy to wipe out or enslave, given that we're so small and squishy. The probing might be interesting though. Hey, we won't know unless we try it, right?

LOL

Great responses!

One thing that gets me is how most everyone seems to think the aliens will have the same motivations as we do?
I find that notion hilarious! laugh

By comparison the hair in your ears is a longer distance.

They may not be technology driven, they might be purely biological. If they are they at all. "They" could be one or many under one control. One entity with many parts so not a civilization at all.

As humans, on one planet with only lifeforms from that planet to make a comparison, who is to say what intelligence really is? Its possible that we may not even recognize aliens as being intelligent because we are the definition of intelligence and aliens may not have anything in common with us to establish our definition of intelligence. Intelligence tests are used by us to determine intelligence level. They are based on common questions and scenarios that are established by us, on this planet, under our circumstances. Used to rate our responses. An alien would have no reference to answer such questions or determine expected results that we would then judge their intelligence by.

We would associate their display with things from our own habitation to incorrectly judge their intelligence by our own standards.

Evolution may not be random for them either. They may be a race of constructs. They may not have genetic coding or it may be based on differing factors or combinations. They, like us, may have nothing in common with their ancestral origins.

Who can say how aliens would look at us? Life may be a non-issue with them. They may not care one way or the other how we conduct ourselves.

Looking at it from a planetary perspective human life is successful by our own standards. There are around 7 billion of us on this rock but even by comparison we are not the most prolific life form on the planet. Trillions of virus, insects and other life forms saturate our biosphere.

Viruses do not value life. Insects do not value life. Not many life forms on our own planet place value on life. Most will kill for any number of reasons and kill without much hoo-doo about it. Human value of life is unique. When you consider the vast distances and possible habitations in the Universe the chances that our unique take on life is significant is silly.

We consider what is right or wrong based on our own teachings of what we have to work with. Aliens may not make similar distinctions. They may see what is, instead of what should be. They may not be clouded by delusions. Their actions may be defined by purpose alone and we may have no idea what that purpose is.

See, size is another thing we are conditioned to understand that may have no bearing on aliens at all.

Understand that aliens could be any size.

They may be tiny like in the movie *batteries Not Included or Godzilla huge.
It all depends on their planet of origin, if they originated on a planet at all.

Enslavement is more unlikely that you might think. Aliens that have made the vast trek to our tiny planet will likely be able to accomplish much more than our frail bodies ever could.

I doubt they would want to wipe us out for any reason. We don't really have anything that can't be found elsewhere and in more quantity or quality. But...Lets say they have a problem with us. If they even have problems. I'm sure they would be able to end all life pretty easily. They probably won't even need to make themselves known or even land on the planet to do so. In that scenario, you may be just happily going about your day then, poof...gone.

They have already been here for thousands of years back and fourth. More specifically Greys, reptilian, draconians, pleiadians. Etc.

LOL, Etc.. Specifically.
laugh

Hmm, perhaps not aliens at all. Perhaps merely genetic hybrids sent from a future advanced civilization by means of time travel. Thus all based on Earth creatures with Earth motivations and methods.
