TxsGal3333,

Hello welcome back well let me say this, okay I know I may lose a few of my loyal viwers but I have to agree with TxsGal3333. I always say weed like a gate way drug and I hate4 the smell of marijuana. Yaw talk about my stogie cigar smells but weed smell terrible to me. Now even though I never was down with " Mary Jane" but my lady uses it only for her intense head aches. I don't like it when she uses it but I love her, and I don't want her to be in agony. So I turn my head away. she doesn't smoke it all the time. and when she do I'm never around.

I'm pretty sure your cigar smoke is doing you more harm than if you were to smoke weed. You have been indoctrinated and accepted it wholeheartedly. Weed has grown naturally since forever but was made illegal about 70ish years ago. If it was to be the destruction of mankind, how did we make it this far?

Anything thing taken into the body if done to excess can be detrimental or kill, even pure, clean water. Yet without water, there would be no life on earth.

Whilst you still smoke those cigars, you should stop ragging on weed, it's hypocritical. What ailments have cigars been found to alleviate?

No, I don't smoke weed anymore but would . However, I never use any pharmaceuticals.

Why?

I'd say make it legal for medical purposes. There are so many prescription drugs out there that have really bad side effects and they are being given to millions of people. How bad can marijuana be by comparison? Pot may help cancer patients, and maybe many others that suffer from a disease or serious conditions.

better to remain silent and thought a fool,
than to speak and remove all doubt...

cell phone use and alcohol are a far greater danger on
our bloody highways than marijuana has ever been...
yet for the mere possession of marijuana you are classified
as a criminal and locked up in prison...
are you ready to go to jail for carrying your cell phone
in the car with you (in use or not}..??

Drink related deaths rise just about every year, year in year out but you're fine with being allowed to drink alcohol?

While we're at it lets make mobile phones illegal, they cause more and more road accidents each year.

How about the fact that car ownership is constantly on the rise, more traffic, more accidents?

Why don't we stop motor vehicles from being able to travel over 30 mph, at that speed even a child hit by a car has a very good chance of survival? Research has proved it.

In fact why don't we just make motor vehicles illegal?

Legalize it! For medical and recreational purposes. Taxes and revenues are being made for the states that have legalized it.

Then let's go back in history. Before the Prohibition of Alcohol, there was NO legislation or laws against Marijuana, Cocaine, or Opium. All of which have proven to have medicinal benefits as long as it's not abused.
Thanks to Tobacco and Alcohol executives getting in cahoots with Government officials back in the 1930's after the repeal of Prohibition. Is when those substances were deemed illegal. So basically the Government of the United States, imposed it's will against the supposed "free will" of it's citizens and not to mention the rest of the world. By getting countries to make the laws outlawing those same substances. Trade embargos were placed among countries that didn't follow suit.

Long story short here.....Thankfully some rationalization has started to come about. smokin

Oh and one more thing.....people aren't going to be able to just toke up anywhere. The Government has laws against smoking anything in certain places anyway. That includes Vaping....slaphead

the issue, in my opinion

is how they are going to deal with all those people they have locked up over pot if they legalize it now,,,,,

I believe pot should not be illegal

yet, I understand the huge crapload the government and privatized prisons have on their hands if they have to figure out how to deal with all those moneymakers sitting behind bars

Humm... but I never said it was a gateway drug nor do I see it as such...

What I see is a natural plant that grows that has many benefits then all these man made drugs that even thou they help with the medical condition, the side effect adds more medical issues by taking them...

At least with marijuana you do not see the added medical issues. Heck alcohol is far worse then marijuana but yet it is legal~~slaphead

Only reason marijuana is not legal is it would cut in to your big Pharmaceuticals pockets.....

With all the products alone that could be made with hemp that alone could actually help clean up our environment...

Ms Harmony,

Its always to see you come thru my Cyber Mansion, come sit by my poolside and lets talk. I totally agree with your view on this. I think it should stay illegal, I see it like any drug on the streets. But I know at least it will lower crime a little.

Scoobert34,

I take it you are a rationalist. What I mean is a rationalist is a person who sort of like me bring the light to the god & the bad. No opinion just bring facts.

It should follow the path of alcohol, which was also once prohibited and created more criminals and helped a criminal trade flourish.

Remove the status of crime, remove the criminal element that hides and/or ends up with control of the distributions and costs(sometimes deadly),

reduce 'crime'...in my opinion.

FunkyJunkie,

Welcome my new friend of M2, this is a friendly debate, no ill will to you.

My new alias is EyeAmYourHost39 aka God's Advocate.

Well the difference between my cigar fine ones not those cheap 7-11 brands that contains fruit flavors which the kids roll the "Mary" to. I do the mafia style cigars, but let me get back. The difference is that I can smoke my cigar in front of a cop and you try to smoke a joint in front of him, well it can end disastrous.

The difference between my cigar and weed, my cigars until recently before the nationwide smoking ban, I used to be able to smoke in sports bars, sports events, gentlemen's clubs, & restaurants. Weed well I never seen a sports fan smoke a stick at hooters....lol.

the difference with my cigar, Celebrities smoke them as a prestige thing people like Suge Knight, Bill Cosby, Late Comedian George Burns, Rock Hudson, & More.

Oh okay Weed well I admit celebrities have back it up like Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Rick James, & more..okay I give you that!

It is like any other drug once you make it legal there should still be guidelines as far as driving while under the influence ect...

As for the individuals currently serving prison time on pot related offenses:
There is no issue. They broke the law while the law was valid. Therefore they should serve their time under the ruling of the judges that decided their fate. I'm sure some leniency could be granted during parole hearings but the fact remains that they broke a valid law and were sentenced in a valid court.

Cannabis Sativa is an annual herbaceous plant in the Cannabis genus, a species of the Cannabaceae family. People have cultivated Cannabis sativa throughout recorded history as a source of industrial fiber, seed oil, food, recreation, religious and spiritual moods and medicine. Each part of the plant is harvested differently, depending on the purpose of its use.

It is a naturally occurring plant that existed before mankind cultivated it. It is not a genetic crossbreed however some modifications have been made to its original form by splicing it.

It will exist long after society collapses.

The issue is not 'what it is' as much as whether it can be controlled and be profitable to the regulating authority. The society that deemed the plant illegal no longer exists. That society was ruled by religious mandates. Our current society is changing to an individualist nature under a big brother type control.

It will be legalized/decriminalized, regulated and taxed.

You are certainly right I don't think people really know the severely of this issue here. I use light terms to lighten a heavy load of this topic but all jokes aside we want our people to be pain free but I'm afraid the ideals will implant those who recreational users will abuse the medical side of this.
