and become a minimalist?

Yes I would live in one. I'm already a minimalist though.

Nope. I don't want a large house either, but these minimalist houses is going to extremes. They are cute, but I think they'd make me feel claustrophobic. I need a bit of space around me.
Would be nice for a holiday, like staying in a somewhat larger caravan for 2-3 weeks, but after a while you want to go home and have some decent space and a proper home.

I have been watching tiny houses on HGTV. I am fascinated with them. I think they are a great idea. Yes I would have one on my property as a guest house or if I want to get away from the kids. Lol
I like the idea of everything compacted and you only have what you need.
I wouldn't do it with little kids because of privacy.

A tiny house would do great as a second home especially on that larger piece of farm+wild land far away from the city ... that I would like to have some day.

It would be best if the ecological footprint were minimal, for any manufactured components being used, as well - not only during the use.

Wonder why most tiny homes that I get to see on you-toob etc are on wheels.

They sound great, look great but living in one can be a challenge.
My cottage is 484 sq. ft. with 4 cats and a dog in a 1 bedroom.

We scream for space :-)

You don't know what you got til it's gone. I wanted to know what I had, so I got rid of everything. - Stephen Wright

"Wright" of course was hitting a comic chord, having to do with a common urge to "acquire". (George Carlin did it as well with his "Stuff" routine...."bigger house for more stuff")

Being somewhat sentimental and bit of a collector, I have been guilty of this. After doing some traveling I found myself happy and free living out of a backpack.

Lately I have been doing some BRUTAL purging of "things".

I am VERY interested in "what do I really NEED?" with just a few grounding triggers of what is "home".
So this tiny house movement is incredibly intriguing!

ya I am not really sure.
some of those are pretty cool
but I know myself..
I am country at heart
so I need a big kitchen to spread out in
to do my cooking and baking
I need a garden
3 rooms for when the kids come home again
and an attached garage

Actually the Tiny Houses are intriguing.. But there is a point of too tiny for me...

Myself I would like to have something between 600-800ft I have around 1,300 sq ft now.... with a big yard that I have to maintain...

If I could sell what I have now and turn around and buy a smaller compact place I would do it... But only if it was farther out of town...

I've lived in both.
My tiny 2 bdrm apt is perfect right now.
Haven't figured out what to do with the 2nd bedroom but I have any options I desire.

As it is 5 is crowded but I am only me right now so its plenty big enough. Low expenses, no real maintenance and easy to keep clean.
Considering I lost everything 6 years ago and have rebuilt myself from nothing using only disability as my income, I think I'm doing pretty good. Plus, one good thing is I can move within a month without loss.

Personally I don't have a problem with a tiny box.... house I mean... oops my bad.. well technically it is just a Box.. all I'm saying is the smaller the better.. I like that closed in tight feeling...

I already live in a mobile home. There is enough space for me and the two kitties. Plus, I can Reno it very easily. Floors have been done, walls painted, bathroom changed. Lots of fun.

I would sure like to de-clutter, that's for sure. 2 floors, 1500 sq.ft each.. I like my space, so no tiny house for me.. but there's too much 'stuff'... so I am having a yard/garage sale at the end of August - what doesn't sell goes to the Goodwill.
