Then after the one word response, waiting 20 minutes after you've posted for their next one word response. One guy I had talked to for several weeks made me feel like he only responded during commercial breaks, made me feel pretty bad. I no longer communicate with him, and we had a lot in common, too bad.

..yup... type of shizzle. drives me crazy.. it's one thing when you send the message but have to wait for a reply.. it's another thing when you're having a dialogue and then have to wait for a reply..grrrr

People texting and surfing the web while they are driving. Thus, ALL OF YOU piss me off. I think I'm the only person in the world that does not engage in this stupidity.

No, there's at least two, cos I don't do that either. Way too dangerous. I've been in a car accident once (not my fault), I learnt that day how fast it can happen. It takes but a split second of not looking at the road.
So looking at my phone whilst driving, not a chance!

I believe many men do exactly that: watch telly while texting /Apping with you. When I asked a man why it took so long every time he said he was watching sports. Well, f***** great, then don't bother me. Either watch sports OR talk to me.
Yep, definitely one that used to piss me off!

Hiya Eric!! waving
I have in all seriousness pulled over to read a text a few times. I'm so scared to check whilst driving. If the one in front happens to break just a bit... bang!
And I only do that when I'm expecting a message from him that could be important at that mo, for instance when I'm on my way to him. Otherwise I don't bother and wait till I've arrived at my destination.

Exactly. I need to unlock it first, and I can't get the swiping pattern right if I can't really pay attention. By the time I'd have that sussed I'd likely have curled the car around a tree, haha.

There's one thing that can really P me O and that's not having internet.

Or discovering I'm out of cigarette paper (like many Dutchies I smoke rolling tobacco) late at night after shops and petrol stations have closed. Can't really roll a cig in bog-roll now can you? Lol.

Lol!
My car needs it's MOT soon... going to the garage next week. Friend of mine who works a lot cheaper and can get hold of second hand parts very easily.
Fingers crossed it's going to get through without costing an arm and a leg! I am nervous about it.

Apart from a slight wobble when I drive very slowly there's nothing wrong. Got that when I put more air in the tyres. So thought is that the front right tyre needs replacing. Fingers crossed that's indeed the cause. It does make me nervous, but cannot really be something else. I didn't hit a curb or pothole or anything.
Oh well, another week and I'll know more.

nope shouldn't be too bad even if it's a bearing or a tie rod

Sounds like a broken or separated belt in the tire. Belts can break without impact damage, especially if driven over or under inflated.

Sometimes you can see a broken belt, if its affecting the sidewall. Other times you have to feel the tread for a bump or lift and spin the tire while watching the tread.

When tire belts pop, raising the pressure pronounces the problem.
A bent wheel can also give a wobble.

A bad bearing will be accompanied with noise but usually won't wobble unless its trashed, plus it will not go away at higher speeds. It will also change when braking and on turns where the car's weight shifts.

If you feel it in your seat as well as your stering wheel my bet is a tire belt.

A tierod will wobble but mostly in the steering wheel like something is loose.

A bad CV joint can cause a wobble that gets worse or clicks during turns. A bent CV axle shaft can cause a vibration wobble that increases ansd decreases in frequency with speed.

Higher speed shimmy can be caused by an out of balance wheel or a weight that has fallen off.

If you feel it in your seat but not in the wheel it could be a rear tire.

If it only wobbles while braking it could be a warped rotor. Usually from hard stopping building up heat the can be released fast enough or evenly (rust clogged rotor fins).

Really worn out upper strut bearings can cause a shimmy or a clicking too.

I hate that my career is over - I loved fixing trucks and cars.

Good lord, that's quite the list! noway
I didn't even know there was such a thing as a tyre belt, hihi.
I'll let you know when I know what it is... I'm praying the least expensive option!

No worries. Your mechanic will know.
Tires have steel belts in them as the term steel-belted radials implies. The only fix for a broken belt is to replace the tire.

Depending on the tread depth and the tire warranty you may be eligible for credit and if in warranty still they may replace the tire but belts usually don't just break without some impact or an inflation issue (which is normal maintenance). If you have road hazard warranty they may cover a replacement used tire of the same brand and tread depth.

If the tire is more than 1/2 way worn out you may consider two new tires on the front (steering) or you could opt to save a bit of money and replace it with a good used one. If that is your choice, rotate your best tires to the steering posistion.

Underinflation can raise the temperature of a tire up to 50 degrees higher than it is rated. On the sidewall of the tire you can find the inflation pressure near the bead (where the rubber meets the rim) The vehicle load rating and tyre size and recommended pressure is also on the VIN sticker in the driver side door jamb. (I am familiar with US & Canada manufacturers, yours may be in a different location).
