Does anyone else find that when they see no picture or someone's profile says "I'll tell you later" with no details you're more likely to just move onto the next profile? In my opinion, if you're going to find someone online where you can't meet, make small chat or see where it goes, then you have to be willing to expose yourself a little by listing your hobbies and a little about yourself. How do you feel about finding someone on here and do you think it's worth making a profile if you don't put a picture and/or no description of yourself?

Humm first of all due to this is not just a Dating site one can not expect others to have pictures when it is not even required...
Yea if I was here for dating I would expect that from another.. But due to I'm not and many others are just here for the forums then it is not a issue with me.. |

unfortunately too many live and die by the phrase a picture is worth a thousand words

They don't read profiles just look at photos!

I agree, IF one is looking to date on a site that has so many profiles, one should probably include something that will keep interest long enough for the viewer to not move on. Im not here for dating. But, I must admit, with 1000s of profiles, it does help to narrow them down and one of the first two categories I swipe through are those that don't post a face/smile and those that don't share any information (ask me later) |

i don't see what the big deal is about pictures.
the search pages have a box to check that says "show me matches with photos only"...in addition to that, mingle offers users the ability to eliminate permanently, any profile you are not interested in. these two options are what make mingle a great place to search out people that you might choose to send an introductory email to... |

I'm not here for dating either, but when I was still dating I never checked someone's profile if they didn't have a photo up. I happened to do so once or twice when the person had sent me a message that was genuine.
But overall, if someone is serious about finding a partner they shouldn't have a problem with putting up a photo of themselves. |

i did put up a picture of a very unattractive woman as my profile picture once and got a ticket from the mods lol. i just wanted to know if i will have some views or if someone will be interested. lesson learned, curiosity satisfied
