So did you give up smoking, exercise more, eat more fruit and veg, cut back on alcohol, meditate, laugh more, or whatever it was you resolved to do at the beginning of the year ?

I don't think I did. pitchfork

Myself I don't make resolutions....at the first of the year.. If I decide to change something I do it at the time I make that decision.. I'm not one that will try to predict something that might happen.. knowing in reality it most likely will not..noway

Ditto!

I did do a few things I said I'd do throughout the year though.

Met a mingle friend, obtained a seasonal job out of the Keys, stepped away from the computer to enjoy life outdoors, and quit smoking. biggrin drinker

A New Year's resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western Hemisphere but also found in the Eastern Hemisphere, in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their life.

Last year I had no such desires.
This year I resolve to seeking competent health care without financial hardship. Not sure if it can be done but I will try.

Did you fulfill last years' resolutions ?

Of course.
Why else make them?

But I also realize I live as a part of society, civilization.
So my friends and I decided to help each other.
We traded our resolutions.
Kind of like secret santa.
So I fulfilled my buddy's resolution, he fulfilled mine.
He wanted to quit smoking, and I wanted to eat healthier.
I don't smoke, and he eats healthy. Bada bing, all resolutions immediately fulfilled by simply trading them!

That made it quite easy. I didn't really have to lift a finger!
What's that saying? A problem shared is halved?
Well, in this case a problem shared was a problem disappeared!

My mother used to try to get me to write resolutions almost 50 years ago as a boy, and I have not written any in years. I could always do better, but being a human being I have many flaws.

I don't make them.. I don't put unneeded pressure on myself. The biggest one seems to be weight, and I like my weight. so that's not a issue.

I believe you can't ( and shouldn't ) do everything just "right"... enjoy life.. and be a bit bad in doing it

I don't make resolutions.
I do make goals throughout the year and make adjustments along the way.
