i HIGHLY recommend 'the invention of lying',with ricky gervais. it is actually a very intelligent movie.with a lot of insight to a very serious question. I "upvote" this suggestion. Another similar fun film, is "Stranger Than Fiction" with Will Ferrell in a serious role. I have a long list of romance films I enjoy, but then I'm a sucker for some of the more thoughtful and better written stories there. I'm recently enjoying some of the ones from the nineties that I didn't see back then. You might try "Americas Sweethearts." from 2001. In SciFi, the latest Star Wars film is head and shoulders better than it's predecessor. Can't help with Horror. Sorry. |

I love watching Sci-Fi, Horror or Romantic ( A notebook, Harry met Sally Types) Since you didn't say which types of movies you want (blockbuster, artsy, intellectual, glitzy, badisgood, deep, meaningful, etc, etc...) I figure you want something diversionary since your reason for asking is to alleviate boredom.
