A jury found Bill Cosby guilty Thursday of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home near here 14 years ago, capping the downfall of one of the world’s best-known entertainers, and offering a measure of satisfaction to the dozens of women who for years have accused him of similar assaults against them.

Justice finally served. He will go down in history as one of the worst serial rapist in American history. A cold hearted calculating animal. And he will do jail time, not 30 years more like 10... but still... justice.

but I am sure there are still at least one or two out there.. well, at least one ;) who thinks he was railroaded.

Hey.. Hey... Hey.. welcome to cell block D , Bill :)

I am not defending Cosby but you also have to wonder what kind of women these were. Were they all innocent angels who didn't care about the fame or never did drugs etc.
It should be noted that he was never accused of SECRETLY mixing these drugs in their drinks, He is accused of GIVING them these "blue pills".

Who really knows if these woman wanted to get high and where is their judgement in taking these pills if they have no clue of what they are.

I watched the footage of the woman and her friends after the verdict and they were all smiles and laughter which is very suspicious to me.

I once found a very young naked woman who had just been raped and saved her from being killed by her assailant because he fled when he saw me coming to help(he had left his previous victim dead also).
After I testified in court and he was found guilty, the woman had no smiles or laughter but just a very serious sign of relief that the ordeal she had lived through was over.

As much as I think Cosby may have some bad habits and intentions, I also suspect that at least a few of these women may be out for the fame and money.

no. They were just meeting a famous married man where there was a bed, 'for business'

The jury has spoken though, just as they did with Zimmerman and OJ. They are 12 people with the final say, right or wrong, kind of sucks knowing innocent people get sent up or guilty people set free when they're wrong, but it's the best we have right now. Hopefully the sentencing will consider his service and charity and age.

I don't know if many the likes of Cosby will be found. I am positive from that era of time and in that industry ( and the business world) there were many " Cosbys") most of them are dead now. ( in part because of that wonton lifestyle)

The women were treated like a commodity, expected to serve in order to advance. Many had little choice. Don't " serve".... blackballed.

I think the events of the past 2 years has shed a lot of light on this dark part of or history and it will stop a lot of this from happening going forward... but not all of it.

On that same token, I believe in due process, which Cosby received. proven in a court of law... fairly.
I do not believe any person should have the power to strip a man ( or woman) of their job, reputation, and the ability to support their families based on accusations only.. which has happened.

It's a no win situation for all. Cosby was someone we grew up laughing with and admiring . No one wants to see this guy in jail , but you can't take advantage of a woman when she is under the influence of any substance that clouds her judgement to the point of not being able to think straight. A terrible situation any way you look at it.

Exactly. Maybe it was the norm at the time to be wanton or take drugs. What is not the norm is a man who had sexual relations with women while they were unconscious from a pill which he admitted to giving them. Cosby did this to dozens of women. He is a serial rapist (not to mention cheating on his long suffering wife) all the way to this day. He was abusing women for a half century, if not more. He is no better than a necrophiliac (who indulges in sexual attraction or sexual act involving corpses) and a monster.

I will say this. All around the world on any given night, people are INTENDING to go to bars, mixing drinking with getting laid. Noone is thinking they are drinking and unable to 'consent' to it, but they fully intend to be drinking or getting drunk and they fully intend to get laid. Often, the only difference is how one or the other 'feels' about it the next day. Some will take a walk of shame, some will end up with someone they really want or attracted to, and some will feel victimized.

the same was true most likely in the heyday of hippies and drugs and Hugh Heffner. People intended to use DRUGS to engage in SEX. Terrible combination, that both 'monsters' and regular horny 'innocents' engaged in. No one but those laying down together will ever know which was which.

The big difference is that these women accused Cosby, not those other men. Dozens and dozens of them. Spin this any way that you like.

no spin, just cold truth. any man who ever was involved in drugs or sex to enhance alcohol could have been subject to the same allegations, 'monster' or not.
