A little too unique I guess, being a mature single father is so hard on here, sadly the women who I’m into are mature and I find they don’t want the kids, they’ve been there, done that and want something a little different than what I have to offer I guess ?. Been on here for 4 years now and had no success in meeting that special someone, no false allusions, I’m not a stud, lol, but I’m no ugly duckling either, so, it’s back to my original thought, I’m a father to a young child, my curse as I’m seeing it, but I wouldn’t change it for the world, so do you here see this too, I value others opinions, thanks, Ferry.

I feel for you, tough situation. I don't know how you do it at that age.

Mine are grown and out. It was great and I wouldn't change it for the world.. but.. I would rather take header off a bridge then do it again

Ferry .. it is difficult .. but dating is difficult for many .. with or without children .. don't despair .. stay positive .. increase your circle of friends ..find the time to have some alone time .. time just for you to indulge in what you enjoy .. often the best place to meet someone is through a shared interest . Your daughter is beautiful and I am sure she is a great joy for you waving

Just maybe it could be he and his wife were older when they got pregnant and she then passed away for some reason that is not known to us...

Plenty of people in their 50's are having kids so this is not rare...

Ferry, best of luck finding that special someone. You will find them someday.

Hi Ferry,
I can empathise with your problem because people are hard to please and some expect more than we can give.
When you do find the right person, all the waiting will be in the past.

The way I see it, there's only one woman I need to find.
She may be here or she may not be but it will only take one.
When you find her, the struggles you deal with looking for her will be gone.
Hopefully we will both choose wisely and never have to look again.
Keep looking and don't give up.

I think AGE is just a number, not all older people act according to their age, hoping you will find someone with a good character.

I would take the child to places where you might meet single women with kids.
Playgrounds, zoos, museums, historical sites, fast food places -but go inside to sit and eat. Ride a bike with her around your neighborhood. Does she have any friends with single moms? ask one of them to help you plan a spring party, birthday party, 4th of july party, anything to interact and let the kids have fun. My father was 45 and mom 40 when I was born. I never realized they were older than my friends parents because we did so many great things. Join a community garden and take your child with you to plant or weed, with an extra tool for a woman who might show up with questions. Go to an evening Bible study where children are in another room, might be a single mom in the study group. Try to be inventive. Maybe single women without children will not be keen on raising a child, but a blended family would work.

I doubt it is your daughter that's the issue. I'd guess most women would want a taller man.
