Someone said...A photo can change life forever!!....totally true.

How important is to present or show a good personal photo at the right moment?

In general; there are hundreds of famous and legendary "shots" that are admired for millions of people...all kind of shots.

A lady friend of mine told me once about a fantastic photo of her daughter; for me; it was a beautiful photo; she told me: It's just an excellent photo; my friend; no more than that!!!Silence on me!!

Maybe its me but I'm not getting your question or point?

I originally thought you were talking about photo's on a dating site for meeting people but it seems you're talking about photos in general and mixing in photos of famous people.

Posting. Photos online is good, however, it's better to go by character of the Man. I find that more rewarding in a potential date.

When I was 9, I saw a portrait of a Cherokee woman posing with her two daughters. One of the girls resembled me in a way that everyone began commenting on it.

That experience made me contemplate the possibilities of who I would have grown to be had I been that girl, or just born into any other culture or circumstance. I took a huge interest in the Cherokee culture and history of their people to see what my life might have been if I had been the girl in that portrait.

I would say I was affected both mentally and emotionally by that experience. It was also really cool. laugh

Character is supreme and reflects. A picture might hide a lot in the online era. Character reflects in the personality of a person but doctoring a pic today is feasible. So while going by a person's character is true, ho w do you judge it online through texts and picturs which merely aim to put an impressive front!!!

a photo can be a strong influence on someone, but a photo by itself lacks context,so it is important to also have the context along with the photo to TRULY receive its full message, otherwise,it can be misrepresented to serve a false purpose.

Don't quite get it Dave... ya mean like a school photo with just a blue back drop?... and is better to have a photo showing content of what that person
likes or whatever?..

Like yours, shows you like to ride. Mine, shows i like to dig crap up... etc.. am i close to being on target?

I agree with this. Seeing a random photo itself isn't life changing unless you come to know the person as a friend/romantic partner, which CAN change your life.

As a woman, looking at fashion/beauty photos may change my style, but not my life itself.

Seeing photos of scenery in various place may make it a travel destination, but until I experience that place, it can't really change my life.

I can't stop to think about a photoshopped photo when asked that question.
Is that a part of the topic.... if so... anything goes and are fake, or am I wrong.
We can all look 20-30 years younger with manipulating.
Not my preference as that would be a total....Blaaah.....:)

I agree some photo's can be very powerful images as we see in news items daily.

In profiles on dating sites, I am of the opinion that having several photo's in your profile is better than pages of text. They can show the person on holiday, at home, pursuing a sport or interest, which says much more about them than a single profile photo.
