Just to expand on this topic a bit.
Those of us old enough to remember(omg..showing my age), back in the 70's the tree huggers or "environmentalists" stop the logging in a lot of areas in CA. There were a lot less wild fires because logging removed a lot of the old growth and underbrush that feeds these fires. Now we have these huge uncontrolled fires spewing lots of carbon emissions...so much for the "environmentalists"  |

California doesn't have a fire season anymore, it's year round because they've been having a drought for so long. Anything can start a fire, mostly lightning. I hear more details on the tv news because I live not that far away from there.

I have been out there many times ( Mostly the L.A. area) and I was always amazed at where they built houses. The foot hills, crevasses and steep areas, while it is a terrible situation it is no wonder.. after you see where they build.
Same here in Jersey but with the Ocean. A hurricane or Nor'easter wipes out the beach front homes.. as soon as the sun shines.. they rebuild... same spots.. 5 years later.. wiped out again. over and over. |

Fires spread to almost the size of LA

There is much going on that Trump is not responsible for.  he is not doing the things that he could to HELP solve the problem,though,and there are LOTS of things that he is doing to make it worse!!! by not admitting that global climate change is a problem that is affecting our weather,and weather patterns,he is only helping to make it worse!! by trying to do things like cutting emission standards on cars and trucks,he is making the problem worse! by trying to cut the mileage standards that were set to go into place on our cars and trucks to save the auto makers money,and putting more money into the pockets of big oil,he is making the problem worse! by trying to save the outdated coal industry,instead of doing things to support green/renewable energy sources,he is making things worse by putting people who have made it their life long careers to try to stop the E.P.A. from dong things to help the enviornment,IN CHARGE of the E.P.A.,he is making the problem worse!!! by trying to un-do EVERYTHING that barack Obama did t help save the planet,just because he is ignorant,and EXTREMELY INSECURE,he is making the problem worse!! so,you can say that trump is not responsible for the warming of the planet that is the cause of all of these disasters,but by not doing everything that he can to help solve the problem,like a RESPONSIBLE president should,he IS responsible for what happens next!!! |

Contrary to even what that sage old Smokey Bear told us ("Only YOU can prevent forest fires"), the chief cause of forest fires is ... Lightning Lightning hits this planet on the average of 8 MILLION times a day (https://learn.weatherstem.com/modules/learn/lessons/36/02.html). When it hits in the desert, there is not as much to burn, but when it hits in dry grasslands, arid tree areas, well, that is what causes fires. Now, fed by winds off the coast, these fires can travel. No, Trump is not responsible for wildfires. He is not responsible for the great economy or low unemployment either, but that is beside the point. He might be responsible for the uptick in Cheetos sales among the stoner community, but there is no concrete evidence that concludes his unnatural coloring or vain comb-over is the reason. |
