'The American Way' is a pretty nice but pretty useless cliche. America has as many 'ways' as it has Americans.

I dont know what BLM has to do with Trump. But no one is in every place addressing everything that happens everywhere in every moment.


The last POTUS was re elected, served the maximum allowed under the Constitution, led the country AWAY from depression. There is no historical standard under which that will ever be classified as 'failure.'

like all POTUS some of their 'promises'(campaign assertions where they rarely ever use the word PROMISE in connection to anything but what they are able under the constitution to do) will see light of day and others will not.

Trump is no different.
Obama was no different.

Trump has actually done more than he said he would.. So you think the American way is useless huh! This is what puts america ahead of every other country in every way. Our desire to "get it done" and to overcome adversity or our will to defend others from foes. This is the differance between a president that wants to make America great and a president that just wants to sit in the White House and act like a big shot.now the "big shot" is running around trying to undermine the POTUS

I put "American Way' in quotes to signify that it is JUST words that are cliche and simplistic and not rooted in the reality of things.

"Get her done" is another cliche phrase, being that the 'her' that is being done or that one thinks should be done is also not a monolithic set of issues that each American agrees on.

All countries want to 'get her done'. We are really not so unique in that. We just have different things we are referring to when we use the phrase, that depend on our culture, government and history.

i rest my case. Not just words but a actual way to look at life and try to live your life in a positive way and not cry victim every time something doesn't go your way. And our culture, government and history is America , and all who come here should adapt to the American way. Liberals should try it. You might like the less chaotic lifestyle.

yes, 'American Way' is just words, since what is described as "living positive' and not 'crying' when things dont go your way are

1. not unique to Americans or America
2. not indicative of how each American lives

There is a decent way to live, that has nothing to do with geography.
People should maybe realize and accept it.

America has many 'cultures', southern, midwestern, urban, rural, etc ... and each one has the good and the bad within it.

people dont come here to 'adopt' they come here for the freedom to not 'have' to adopt in order to have certain Human rights that are allegedly 'endowed by the creator' and not allegedly dependent upon where the HUMAN resides.

what really annoys some is the great success he is having as president. Something the last guy never had. I will say that the last guys lack of understanding " the American way" led to his failure. Trump understands

what the people want and is doing everything he can to fulfill his promises so far !!

if everybody that comes to this country only wants to speak his native language and their native customs and refuse to accept or even learn about the culture or language of the country that accepted them. Than those people are part of the problem. Yes, everyone should strive to live a decent life. Someone should relay that message to the democrats.

people are individuals first, the way they register is not a blanket assessment of what the individual does or believes.

People can 'incorporate' what they learn from others, that is different than the idea of assimilating which usually refers to replacing completely one thing with another.

No, I was replying to your statement that when people come to a country that isn't theirs, they shouldn't continue to speak their native language, but rather...they should learn the langauge and customs of the people of the country they immigrate to.

If that is true, then, by *your* logic, the English/ Puritans should have learned the Native American languages and customs...not continue to speak their *own* native language and celebrate their *own* customs...

I think what you are missing is the point that we took over the country. Immigrants need to fit in.....because keeping separated shows signs they might try to take over.

My great grandmother is a full blooded Indian. I would ask her but she is dead. We have built a great country and I'm not in favor of letting it be taken over by illegals or socialist just because we took it from the Indians. Ok, so what lndian language should we have learned? Mohawk? Chippewa? Navaho? Creek? Iroquois? Crow? The indians were all of different tribes. They had no central language. English was adopted as a central language. Yes, they were here first. But they were just as split up as Europe was.
