His profile says he is a widower. Maybe he wants an encounter group type thing. Understandable, but doing it in this fashion seems very odd. There are better options.

Support Groups would better..

There are *several* in Montreal..andf I am sure in other areas of Quebec as well..

It depends how much you loved them or did not love them.
Everyone grieves in a different way...
You want to talk about them all the time to keep their memory alive.
You keep their belongings because it reminds you of them.
You randomly cry, sometimes all day.
It feels like you have been ripped in two and you can't function anymore.

But slowly over the years you find peace and move on.
I would recommend googling the stages of grief.
