I am toying with the idea of having my cremated remains :skull: or part of converted into diamonds , a newish process ,very interesting

Why not?! It only costs $2395 for a .1 carat diamond, haha.
Apparently Americans usually go for .8 carat. I guess someone's got money over there, hihi.

Not sure how I'd feel about that.
"Where's your dad buried?" Erm... in my ring. ohwell noway

But doesn't matter, I couldn't afford that anyway so I won't end up
being a blue diamond, lol.

Well if there is not enough left for a diamond maybe the ashes could be remodeled into a garden gnome ! Spooky eh?

I prefer guns no shiny stuff for me

Then ya might wanna hide that chrome plated .32
a wee better.

Yeah, it's a gun.
But, it's shinier than my bald head.

Pick me a bouquet of wildflowers or give me a cool river stone or seashell you picked up just for me, and I'm a happy woman.

Me too, River!

I only wear silver, all my rings have special meanings to me, most are handmade by people all over the world. Wearing Mother of Pearl, Labradorite, Moonstone, and Aquamarine right now.

Another cheaper option, cremation ashes suspended in Murano glass

Hmmm... I think I still find it creepy, hihi. Definitely cheaper yes.
But... who would you want it to walk around with it? Who is it for?

I can relate to that, but how does that compute with not wanting something with either pearl or diamond, or maybe both, from your partner as a token of love and commitment?
I'd say that would be a pretty special meaning! Plus, pearl is considered gemstone, even though technically it isn't, and diamond is the top quality gemstone.

I would like to give something like that to My daughter, sisters and granddaughters , my parents are buried but I would love to have had something like that, not to wear but. As a keepsake dangled over their photos ,

Oh, that is a nice thought indeed! I must say the idea does appeal more to me than having an urn with ashes in the living room. I'd never want or do that. Come to thing of it, not sure if that's allowed over here either.

But to be honest, I don't have much faith in funeral companies. How do you know it's your beloved's ashes? You don't.
We could order a fingerprint of my dad on silver. They had two options to choose from, from different fingers I think.
But... one was totally different! I didn't want such a pendant, but my stepmother and sister did. My stepmother didn't notice, but I immediately did. No one person's fingerprints can be different. One was a wave with straight lines underneath like I have, the other a swirl. That's TWO different people.
You pay good money for that yet it could be that they're now walking around with some stranger's fingerprint on a necklace...
I was not impressed.

I am fortunate to have people that know what I like so these were all special gifts from others. Something thoughtful from a loved one would always be precious to me, regardless. Just don’t go broke buying something, that’s not necessary or really me.

Indeed always nice if people give the right thing for you.

I just recalled Prince did a song "Diamonds and Pearls" :) Haven't heard that in a while.

If diamonds and pearls are out of the question,
it would be okay, to give the object of my affection,
a matching set of mushroom stamps? Right?
