I guess this is one for the ladies!

They always say 'Diamonds are a girl's best friends!"
Never resonated with me as I've never had the slightest interest in diamonds.
But pearls...
I love that shine, that intriguing & mysterious glow! love

If you could choose, pearls or diamonds from your partner, what would you go for?

Hah, my ex bought me pearl & diamond necklace and matching earrings. I love both diamonds and pearls. I also have pale peach pearl necklace which I'm fond of too.

Neither, hahaha! I do not like the bling and how
it draws attention to a person.

Diamonds are a bank account without fees.
Pearls are somewhat outdated.

Buy me a lottery ticket ;-)

I'm with soufie on this one, I don't like either one and seldom wear jewelry unless it's a gemstone for more metaphysical reasons.

Pick me a bouquet of wildflowers or give me a cool river stone or seashell you picked up just for me, and I'm a happy woman.

slaphead laugh

I had a man say he was going to give me a pearl necklace for my birthday. My girlfriend told me what that meant so I told the guy to take a hike.

Turns out he really had an actual pearl necklace (Fake, but very nice necklace).... very embarrassing moment in my life, hahaha blushing

I have one pearl pendant, amorphous, cos of metaphysical reasons. Well, I was drawn to it because of that :)

That looks like this:

Pearl is connected to the moon and thus with our emotions, femininity. Like the pearl grows inside a shell, it gives us a feeling of safety & security, protects the feminine and receptive part in us. They're also called "Tears of happiness", and support emotional cleansing processes.
The soft, cleansing energy of pearl brings warmth, softness, peace, relief. She awakens the highest loving part in you.

Just a few things on pearl cos I thought you might like it :)
Diamonds also have metaphysical qualities of course as they're also a gemstone.

Nice!
Off late I can appreciate diamonds, but I have none.
I must say if you see both combined in a necklace it looks beautiful!

love I guess I am only used to the fake ones, haha.

Very beautiful and yes, as a pendant I would be touched if a man gave me one. I just don't usually wear jewelry on a regular basis. Perhaps it has to do with the kind of work I've mostly done. It's difficult when working physically demanding jobs and doesn't really go with the uniform, haha.

Maybe it's time I start. I actually bought a necklace a couple weeks ago, a dainty one with rose quartz and a moonstone. But I've yet to wear it... it sits in my drawer.

I don't usually wear a lot of jewelry either. In the past I always had a whole
bunch of silver bracelets on one arm, always at least one ring.
But somehow I cannot bear it on me anymore. I wear my ring when I go out, but when home again I take it off. Same with my watch, I got me some nice ones last year.
The only thing I do wear daily is a silver necklace with usually 2 pendants, one of which is that pearl, the other a gorgeous larimar.

I think the good quality real pearl is rounder and has that typical whitish colour.
I do love those too! That shine! And I don't care for bling-bling, that's not it.
It's the energy of pearl, of that colour of pearl (I'm a sucker for colour therapy),
if you could call that a colour.
I guess cos it has soft rainbow colours and that's what really floats my boat, haha.

Oh, if I lived in the US I'd want a gun too. But if a guy would give me one
as a symbol of his love and commitment I'd be more than a tad concerned, haha.

Yes, I agree with the soft rainbow colors... I love rainbows. I actually like the ones in your picture better than the typical whitish ones. With other gemstones, I am drawn more to the ones that are in natural form rather than the ones that have been polished or altered. Most likely because of the energy I feel from them. :)
