Was it anything to do with that Ben Dover bloke you mentioned a while back?

Locked up?? Not ever.
I was sent to my room once, which was totally unfair and I was livid because of it.
I understand now why my parents did that. They ran a restaurant and at the time of the unfortunate event with my sister the place was full up with customers. They hadn't the time to do anything other than separate us.
But I wasn't locked up then either, hihi.

Cool sounds like my 2 sisters, maybe I was the black sheep smile2

Nah, can't be, I was the black sheep hahaha

Come to think of it, I have had a very serious argument at the police station, with the police. B@st@rds refused to do what they had to do by law even though my lawyer told me I was in the right. They simply refused, I refused to let it go.
In the end I was arguing with the chief of police, hahahahaha.
I didn't get what I wanted, which was my civil right as a Dutch citizen, even according to my lawyer.
But f*(k did I enjoy standing may ground and even facing that police chief. Made my day, haha.

I have learnt on 2 occasions that the police on this island seem to have their own laws.

It's actually true smokin
Another friend of mine was in court for shop lifting and the judge sentenced him to 6 months, he said to the judge "That's easy, I'll do that standing on my head" So the judges gives him another 6 months saying "in that case the extra 6 should help you to get back on your feet.".drinker bigsmile

All these stories brought back the memory of being interrogated by the police for over 2 hours ohwell
I was only 12!
Apparently a girl in the village had told the police she was raped by a few boys that I sometimes hung out with, and that me and my friend had been there as well. noway
I was on holiday at my aunt's, had to come back for the interrogation. I didn't know what the hell it was about.
Yet it took them over 2 hours to believe me. Insane. In retrospect... would it even be legal to do that to a 12 yr old girl without parents or representation? Hmmm... never thought of that.

Yes, I was jailed overnight.
I was 13 and I ran away from home.
Made a disguise and hopped a bus from Oakland, California
to Idaho where my Mother lived and who had encouraged me
to run away to make a point to the other parental unit.

So there I am in my disguise (a furry cap, one of my step-
father's old school sweaters, heavy boots) I was sure I
looked at least 18!

Suddenly, in Winnemucca, Nevada (at 2am) the bus gets pulled over
by the police. Two bruisers and a short woman cop boarded and
began going through the bus, checking for someone obviously.
They got to me as I was sitting there trying to look older.

'Your name ****** *******?' Bruiser #1 asked.
'No' I said and he moved on.

Soon all 3 were back and standing in front of me.
'What IS your name then?' Bruiser #2 asked.
I said my name (identical to what they had asked EXCEPT they had
added an extra 's' at the end, me being very literal had no problem
saying 'No, that was not my name.'

The boys lifted me off my seat (apparently annoyed with the extra
time it was taking them at that hour) and hauled me and my backpack
off the bus. I overheard them talking to my Dad on the phone and I
heard him tell them to put me in jail to teach me a lesson. Bah!

So they took me to the Winnemucca jail, a 2 story job, 2 sides of cells
along a long hallway, men on one side, women on the other. I was the
only female in residence, alone in a dark cold cell.

Apparently I was quite the novelty, a small 13 year-old with a mouth.
There were many men in various degrees of sobriety and they all began
talking at me, and I talked back ;) I felt like Dillinger.

So we all yacked away, from down below they yelled at us to hush.
I swore at them and the men clapped.

Finally through that cold night they served breakfast. They put a tray
just outside the small pass-through. I lined it up and kicked it across
the hall at the men, who absolutely howled with delight.

Soon, a copper hollered up the stairs, 'Come on down little missy, your
Father is here.'

Rut roh.

I waited for them to unlock the door..no one came.
I kicked the door.
It opened.
They had not even bothered to lock me in!
I was furious with my pent-up emotions and bravura.

There stood my Dad and his newest..I had interrupted their weekend getaway.
The stepmother hauled off and slugged me in the car, I still have the wee
scar beneath my eye (from her gaudy ring) in case I ever forget.

Well worth it ;-)

I once spent time in solitary confinement in the Idaho State Penitentiary.

Of course, by then it was an empty museum and I closed myself in there voluntarily, to see what it was like.....concrete walls all around and concrete door, no windows, no electricity, a 4 inch round hole in the ceiling to let light and air in.

In the real world, uh, no, not even close.

Must have been the mid 90's. working on the doors of a nightclub in town. mass brawl, couple of guys got stabbed, real messy night. There were 14 of us, the police wanted to take us away and the manager told them to do one as we had over 1200 people in there. We were fighting with the 2 groups that were fighting each other. The police said ok, when the club shuts come and give statements. so we did and they promptly arrested us all 3am, while I was being delt with you could here loud snoring from one of the cells. dam, it's the one I'm going into!
It was one of my mates asleep already lol
We were in there a day and a half. no charges!

Ahhhh...spring was in the air and we considered it an iddeal time for a panty raid at the all girl's school nearby. So at the midnight hour, we crossed the street and made our way into the dorm being very careful not to alert/wake the old dorm mom/guardian/drill Sargent...

the willing girls allowed us to gather bras and panties until someone squealed...then like cockroaches in a spotlight, we scattered...campus security gave chase...the dorm mom was yelling and held out both arms to stop us...we garbbed both arms , lifted her up and placed her to the side...

dormitory lights came on...the sprint was on... we were huffing and puffing with loot in hand...

now the rear part of the campus was dark and front part was now well lit...escape was paramount...and in the heat of the moment...uh...ahem...we forgot about that 20 foot drop at the rear of the campus!...
