Omg..what a day...

My fridns dad/who I take care of...

Having breakfast..and all of a sudden..

something happends....

he was able to tell me he was dizzy before he became non responsive...

I was stuck..holding him in a kitchen chair so he wouldn't fall..

I was pleading for him to come back to me..

eyes fixed....then they closed...then I couldn't feel him breathing..looking for the pulse..

1000 things going thru my mind of what to do...

thank god I always keep his emergency help band on..hit it...kept talking to him..

trying to use my cell to call family..trying to read the phone card at the phone..I will be writing numbers bigger and place hem all over the house...

door was locked..so how as i able to let the EMT's in?

I was so stuck...

First time I thought I would have to do cpr..but first get him on the floor with out cracking his head on the tile floor..

Finally he took a gasp of air and moand to let me know he was still with me..

then he came around...

Home to get things..

He willl be adnitted to get his heart checked and other tests....

I love this family..they love me..so the emotions go wild..

Otherwise with my medical back ground I have never gottten so scared...

I'm exhausted....

holy sh*t...

he is ok now except crazy blood pressure...

family on there way...

Thank u for listening..

so see u all soon....  flowerforyou flowerforyou

That's awful! I'm glad things turned out ok. Try to get some rest, things like that are emotionally exhausting. flowerforyou flowerforyou

Holy crap!

How old of a guy is he??

Is he a big fella that you couldn't lower him to the floor without dropping him?

Has he had heart or respiratory problems before?

Why are you not trained for CPR and first aide if you take care of the elderly .. ??

I used to help out my great grandma after school when I was a teenager. One night while I was putting her to bed she started sounding like my great uncle when she talked... it freaked me out... when I looked at her, I noticed her face was drooping on one side. I watched her have a stroke! That was scary. All I could think to do was call my grandma.

Glad you were able to figure out what to do.flowerforyou

Sooo sorry hun thats rough.when I was 14 I went to stay the night with a friend melody was her name..Her dad came in from working outside all in the hot sun..Had a major heatstroke & heartattack right there in her living room. With just us two there at the at plus her little 3 year-old niece. she paniced. I called 911 & felt for a pulse it was rapid at 1st then none..Had to start CPR there on the couch..Couldn't move him.I was not able to on my own..took the ambulance 20 min to get there..By that time His older daughter was ther & cring to..I did not know what to do..But tell them I was sorry & call My dad to come and get me & what happend..The werid thing this man was a southern preacher..and as My father & I drove off The 1st song I heard play on the radio was Silver & gold By dolly Parton..He died..Which I knew that..But atleast I did what I could to help..flowerforyou

 I worked with two guys when I was about 30, both of them around 21 23 and they were delivering to homes for sear's
and they said this one guy fell down right in front of them and they just laughed, and tried to ask if he was ok, then after more laughs they called 911, he was dead, heart attack.
I never will forget how dom they had been to the problem, nor how it didn't bother them at all.. VERY SAD world and people.
