Women's lib or women's rights have nothing to do with men not being chivalrous anymore

I agree. That is an excuse by a man or a ridiculous statement from a woman.

The other night on a very busy 2-lane road, my van went dead. I pushed it myself for 20 yards or so before someone asked me if I needed help. How many "men" saw me pushing my heavy van, risking being physically hit by vehicles coming up behind me? Btw, there was no spot to pull over and it was too dangerous to sit there so we got it to a safe spot around the corner.

I am very thankful to those who helped and told the guys I would pay it forward but at the same time, it is disappointing to know so many who don't give a rat's behind.

laugh laugh laugh

That is awesome. And a good idea.

We could do the same on a campaign against the Banksters and the Federal Reserve.laugh laugh

Great idea, to break the silence of the stupid Media espousing about the Emmy awards and other crap.

A poster demanding real news instead of bull crap would be good.

I'm going to design some posters, and let people download and print them.

Just to do my part to restore free press and freedom of speech as the scumming dictators continue to rob and rape the people.

I'm glad you like the idea Jenniebean :) I think we should do our share and post the info! You know when I lost my dog, I made flyers and soon I had posted them wherever I could. The people who found my dog returned her to me that night so I had a happy ending! The point is I had the flyers and tape ready to go in my vehicle,making frequent stops and thank God,it was successful in less than a full day!

My second idea is to find free political designs for T-shirts. A little more tricky to make T-shirts but I want to try.

Our greatest failure is our failure to try.

If I ever met Obama they would be calling security on me immediately,lol.

I can answer the question that you need to know. He's a socialist!!

If you like what our country stood for and our constitution, you won't vote for him.

so, you wouldnt have any questions,, just name calling?

got it,,,

Of course harmony has to chime in :/ For your information, it isn't name calling although I would have a few of those too if I met him. Socialist is a term used to describe what someone is, which he is. You might want to look it up in the dictionary then read his history up to our current time and you will see he has matched the definition very well.

Thanks jenniebean for posting all the key points of the HC law. I had studied the HC3200 bill but had been putting off studying this law.

I wish someone made a video with the keypoints with the HC law directly on the screen so I can send it to any naysayer.

It will literally be the final nail in the coffin for a lot of us :(

Ruled unconstitutional under the commerce clause.
Upheld as a tax.
Tell me how taxing the poor and middle class will help them?

Taxing the poor? Not so sure the poor will have to pay more in taxes. This will hit the Middle Class the hardest like always.

I absolutely hate this "law".

There was a Drug Import Bill that was stuck down months before the Healthcare Bill. That bill would have made it legal for U.S. citizens to shop for your medicine in other countries. One drug here can be priced 300% higher (or worse)than somewhere else. That would have been a great, common sense move but it didn't get passed. And why wasn't this included in the HC Reform Bill.

Another point to ponder:
This law is suppose to mean that people with pre-existing conditions will not get turned away from insurance coverage. Let's say a certain company looks at a new, possible customer with a pre-existing condition. That patient's care will cost them easily $300,000.00 for the coming year. BUT IF they deny this person and not allow them to be a customer/member, they may get found out eventually and slapped with a fine. For the sake of this argument, I will make the fine $10,000.00.

What would the company rather do? I think they will accept the risk of an eventual fine then accept someone with pre-existing conditions as a new policy holder.

Who will be caught? Since they will probably force us to show proof of medical insurance in our income tax filings, those people who don't have medical insurance will we be punished with a fine. A fine that automatically gets taken out of one's income tax return.

I also heard that Obama said this healthcare would costs no more than a trillion. It is now estimated to cost SEVENTEEN trillion over that first trillion.

The above are just a few thoughts. There are very disturbing aspects of this law like what form of biometric ID may be forced upon us and that real time electronic billing will be attached to our bank accounts?

I will NOT be a part of biometric ID !!

This healthcare law needs to go. Get rid of Obama. He should get impeached!

Other than the obvious that u probably already know, I don't have any suggestions, sorry. I have had it since 2001. I never go barefoot or wear flats. It's best for me to wear shoes for support as much as possible.

For me, a heel height of about an inch and a half seems to be best. I almost always have shoes inserts for better support. I did buy a good pair of gel (insole) tennis shoes recently and they seem to be better for me.

You should go to an orthopedic foot store and they may help you more than a doctor's appt. You probably know they make custom insoles at certain shoe stores.

Good luck, hope it gets better!

The following are NOT my words. I'm posting it from another forum in hopes to help clear up the "extention" commentary.

Quote:
Read the following and then please explain to all of us po' ig'nant types who fail to see any mention of your 'extended' therein ... this is a NEW Executive Order:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://www.examiner.com/article/obama-declares-national-emergency-and-issues-e-o-against-russian-assets
Obama declares National Emergency and issues E.O. against Russian assets
Kenneth Schortgen Jr
On June 25, President Barack Obama issued a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and to the President of the Senate stating that under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, he was declaring a National Emergency due to actions incurred with Russia, and the Russian Federation. The submitted letter provides a declaration to Congress of the President signing Executive Order (E.O.) 13159, and its immediate implementation.
Under this National Emergency and Executive Order, the United States is seizing assets and property owned or managed by the Russian Federation relating to nuclear items and programs tied to Highly Enriched Uranium (HEU).
Pursuant to section 204(b) of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), 50 U.S.C. 1703(b), I hereby report that I have exercised my authority to declare a national emergency to deal with the threat posed to the United States by the risk of nuclear proliferation created by the accumulation in the Russian Federation of a large volume of weapons-usable fissile material.
The United States and the Russian Federation had entered into a series of agreements that provide for the conversion of highly enriched uranium (HEU) extracted from Russian nuclear weapons into low enriched uranium (LEU) for use in commercial nuclear reactors. There were concerns that payments due to the Russian Federation under these agreements may be subject to attachment, garnishment, or other judicial process, in the United States, which could put implementation of such agreements at risk. In Executive Order 13159, the President therefore ordered blocked all property and interests in property of the Government of the Russian Federation directly related to the implementation of the HEU Agreements so that it would be protected from the threat of attachment, garnishment, or other judicial process. - White House.gov
The ramifications of this Executive Order, along with portions that remain classified from the public, have vast consequences for the American people. Earlier this year, President Obama updated and signed several Executive Orders that deal with the complete control and confiscation of U.S. assets, infrastructure, and manpower in the case of a declared National Emergency. As of yesterday, that National Emergency has been invoked, opening the door for any number of policies to be enacted by the President going forward.
Additionally, this action against Russia and the Russian Federation could have massive consequences for America in regards to foreign policy, and even a potential act of war should Russia see fit to perceive Obama's actions as such. With NATO and Russia both rattling sabers in the region of Syria, the possible threat of a global conflict increased with this new asset confiscation order.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You will point out where your 'extended' reference is to be found, won't you ... ? I think not ... and if you believe the Executive Orders referenced as dealing with control and confiscation of U. S. assets, infrastructure, and manpower are the 'extension', you're wrong. That is a continuation of PDD51 / HSPD51, which are CoG (Continuity of Government) Directives originally signed by Bush and which cover a completely separate topic.

I heard the TV news today on what Obama did, that's the first amazing thing but his arrogance is what I really find amazing.

Definitely worth it to watch these videos on Fast & Furious.

I think saying someone is a "lib" is okay although they may be assuming too much. It is when someone adds TARD to the end of it that is offensive.

I keep seeing posted in these threads..that illegals are a problem because they use up "our" resources, their gang banger criminal's, welfare moms...etc, etc.

If Maria has been a good girl, has never been arrested,
hasn't gotten knocked up and is a working tax payer,
why in the world would it bother any one if she was here?

I thought it was to better the country, not punish.
Silly me.

how can you work and pay taxes if you don't have a social security number?

illegals aren't the problem.

companies that hire them illegally are the problem.

there wouldn't be 20 million or whatever the number actually is if there were no one offering them jobs.

I didn't notice the resident in chief offering a plan to increase fines on companies because that would be putting their campaign contribution potential in jeopardy..

It isn't just companies that hire them, there are people who hire them to mow their lawns or hire them for the day cause they see them standing there waiting in the parking lot to help you with your project from Home Depot.Let's not forget some are in gangs and sell drugs,etc.

I won't hire them and I refuse to learn Spanish based on principle. I can order Mexican food though,lol.

President Obama’s announcement about his administration’s new immigration policy may or may not have been politically motivated, but it did bring attention to a pesky immigration issue that is difficult to deal with.

In a nutshell, the issue is this: How do you avoid punishing children for the sins of their parents?

Consider the following hypothetical situation:

Maria was born in Mexico. When she was still a baby, she went with her parents as they moved to the USA. Afterwards, Maria grew up in the USA, sounding and acting just like most American kids. Maria learned Spanish from her parents, but she has never been in Mexico other than when she was a baby. The USA is the only nation that she has ever known, and Mexico is a foreign nation to her.

On her 18th birthday, Maria is told a secret that had been kept from her. When she and her parents entered the USA 17 years earlier, her parents did not have permission from the U.S. government to enter the USA. Maria’s parents have never had Green Cards. Instead, her parents are illegal immigrants.

What about Maria? Is she also an illegal immigrant, or is she the victim of her parents’ illegal status? Unlike her parents, Maria would be lost if she were forced to live in Mexico, because the USA is the only home that she has ever known.

While Maria was a minor, she did not have the ability to choose where she lived. That choice was made by her parents. Now that she is 18, Maria would like to attend a local college, even if she has to pay out-of-state tuition. She also would like to obtain a Green Card until she is able to undergo the official naturalization process.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security knows about Maria. What should the U.S. government do with Maria? Is there a way to enable Maria to obtain what she wants without punishing her for what her parents did while she was a baby?

The law is the law, her parents broke the law and like it or not, Maria needs to go back to the country where she came from. She got lucky, her luck is now suppose to be over but knowing how illegals and Obama work, "Maria" will probably get even more lucky by staying here and taking advantage of her situation as much as possible.

These are young people who have lived here all their lives, brought over by their parents, and most of them don't even speak Spanish themselves. They know nothing of Old Mexico.

I think it is a humanitarian thing to do and I see nothing wrong with it.

Wrong!! These kids have only had to be in the U.S. for five years.They could have come as teenagers. They definitely speak Spanish because it is the language their parents know and speak. They are so catered to here in CA.(and other states) that they can don't need to speak english.
