Spent fuel can be reprocessed and the plutonium seperated from the uranium.

This is just from memory, but I believe we conducted a test with reprocessed fuel using the plutonium and detonated it...

I think that reprocessing spent fuel has been banned for years because of that.

Putin is a thug, but he has balls.

He sees Obama wandering aimlessly with his asinine domestic agenda and decided to act.

I think the rainbow colors got in Obamas eyes and he lost focus on WTF is going on around the world.

I think that police know they can be killed.

I think the public knows they are better off with them than without them.

I think what people don't sometimes realize is that the police are actually under the supervision of the civilian authorities when speaking of local jurisdiction forces. The mayor of the town or city sets the policy for the police like the president does the armed forces.

The mayor picks the chief or commissioner. That person runs the force as the mayor sees fit.

The people elect the mayor.

So when I see a place like Baltimore where the mayor picked the commissioner and he implemented her policies and she was elected by the people and the people get angry over the policing policies yet if she ran again polls say she would win.

That says quite a bit to me..

I believe ISIS is a bigger threat to the world than the Syrian regime.

you could be right . biggest threat is the cruelty the world is watching. there has to be corruption to allow ISIS to grow and there's no limit to the cruelty.

America formed an international coalition from 50 countries to fight ISIS, but did not address quickly to ISIS. After two months of the fall of Mosul, America intervened to stop the advance of ISIS forces, and started the US Air Force against ISIS sites on 10 August. It was limited number of raids, 8 to 10 raids per day. Despite the limited US strikes but undoubtedly they were impressive and useful. During 90 days the number of strikes did not exceed 400 air raids, while in the war to liberate Kuwait International Alliance carried out 2000 raids in just 24 hours, US and British air force resolves 99% of the battle.

ISIS are not a standing army out in the field holding a line in fortified bunkers like the Iraqis were in 1991. They have no discernible command and control apparatus that can easily be targeted by bombers.

They are mixed within villages, towns and cities. You can't just go in and start dropping bombs on Mosul because the first civilian casualties will result in the Sunni population taking up arms with the Jihadists.

Then you turn 10,000 nutjobs into 100,000 nutjobs...

Where is the Iraqi army? They can't defeat a few thousand jihadists?

Iraq blew off a status of force agreement and here we are.

Women were not allowed to join the SS.

They were termed SS- Helferin.... SS Helper..

Even the women that were guards were not recognized as being members of the SS. Period.

This particular woman was at the camp for 3 whole months and she was 20 years old. Interestingly she will have to be charged as a minor..

WTF is the point.

First of all women were not allowed to join the SS.

They were termed "helpers".

Charging a 91yo women that worked in a radio room as an accessory to murder is just phucking absurd.

UN Climate chief: Communism best for fighting global warming

Written by Rick Moran, American Thinker on 16 January 2014.

This kind of thing parodies itself, and if you want a comprehensive take down of this nonsense, Ed Morrissey has a crackerjack of a post on the wisdom emanating from the lips of Christiana Figueres about the best political system to fight climate change.

Daily Caller:

United Nations climate chief Christiana Figueres said that democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. Communist China, she says, is the best model.

A Clear Day In Beijing.

China may be the world's top emitter of carbon dioxide and struggling with major pollution problems of their own, but the country is "doing it right" when it comes to fighting global warming says Figueres.

"They actually want to breathe air that they don't have to look at," she said. "They're not doing this because they want to save the planet. They're doing it because it's in their national interest."

Uh-huh.

Her logic is impecable - if you believe in socialist twaddle:

Figueres added that the deep partisan divide in the U.S. Congress is "very detrimental" to passing any sort of legislation to fight global warming. The Chinese Communist Party, on the other hand, can push key policies and reforms all on its own. The country's national legislature largely enforces the decisions made by the party's Central Committee and other executive offices.

Leave aside the fact that one of the most dangerous jobs in the world is being a coal miner in a Chinese mine due to the paucity of safety and health regulations. Leave aside the fact that the Chinese refuse to join any UN treaties on climate change. The Communist system actually encourages air and water pollution, not to mention the burning of as much fossile fuel, as fast as possible in the name of economic development.

Ms. Figueres appears to be the perfect choice to head up the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Her husband works at the World Bank and is on the board of directors for a company called WEnergy Global PTE.

WEnergy Global PTE LTD is a one-stop-shop-solution provider of renewable energy systems and technologies for energy-efficiency in buildings. Our company designs, procures and build power plants, such as Solar PV, Small Hydro Power, Wind and Biogas. We use Artificial Intelligence Systems in our Energy Consumption Optimizer (ECO) to reduce energy consumption in buildings.

There are many connections here that are not being mentioned. Perhaps the largest is the correlation between the black children who grow up without a father and end up in jail and/or dropping out of school. Humans learn by example and without the proper role models they tend to emulate what they see their older peers do instead of what society would like them to do. Teen street gangs do not a school make.

Political correctness always finds a victim. Teen mothers who haven't a clue are never to blame for becoming baby factories churning out an undisciplined, uneducated, criminal element. The baby daddies can't take responsibility for fathering if they are the criminal element.

Maybe the answer is forced birth control for all inner city teens, no matter what the race. If you couldn't have a kid without a high school diploma, it might make a big dent into the problem.

Trump caught a lot of flack about the border wall... or lack of one. If the wall was built, manned, and the flow of illegals stopped, and the illegals here deported, the millions of jobs formally available to youth would suddenly become available. Try to find a construction site that isn't populated by illegals.

With the halt in traffic across the border comes the halt in the 25 to 50 billion dollars in drug trafficking that feeds much of the crime in inner cities. Screw the political correctness, maybe a couple of hard core military strikes by the US on the known drug cartel strongholds in Mexico would send the proper message.

Maybe an elimination of the national teachers union that allows unqualified teachers to retard the education of the kids in public schools would help, as well as giving school vouchers to the poor so they can send their kids to better schools anyway. Maybe a major change in the school system that allows punishment of badly behaving students instead of the current stupid politically correct nonsense.

I heard there was an inoculation against pregnancy that lasts about a year. Perhaps they need to add it to the measles shot.

Is "proper parenting" a required course in high school?

if political correctness seeks victim
intellectual dishonesty seeks a scapegoat

if only it were as simple as scapegoating single parenthood but numbers don't really mete that out when staying on the topic of racial DISCREPANCY

1. In 1965, 24 percent of black infants and 3.1 percent of white infants were born to single mothers

in 2013, 67 percent of black children in single parent, compared to 25 percent of whites

so, that discrepancy decreased from 8:1 to a discrepancy of a litle over 2:1

2.the high school graduation rate has INCREASED from 1964 when blacks had 53 percent the high school grad rate of whites , to 2012 when blacks had 93 percent the graduation rate of whites

3. the college graduation rates of blacks also rose from 42 percent that of whites in 1964 to 62 percent that of whites in 2012

YET with all the single parent DISCREPANCY decreasing, and the educational attainment DISCREPANCY decreasing,, things have little changed

4.incarceration rates have been a constant 5:1

5. black household income has remained a constant 50 percent of white household income

6.blacks are still three times as likely to live in poverty

so if the discrepancy between single parenthood between blacks and whites have decreased

and if the discrepancy between educational achievement between blacks and whites have decreased

why have the discrepancies in incarceration and poverty remained the same?

Here are real numbers..

Seventy-six percent of Hispanic students and 68 percent of African-American students graduate from high school, the report says. Those rates are about 10 to 15 percent less than the graduation rate of white students.

http://www.usnews.com/education/blogs/high-school-notes/2014/04/28/high-school-graduation-rates-reach-record

I don't know where you got the 93% number from... But out of every 100 there are 32 not graduating there are 32 that will have difficulties getting any job... 32 out of every 100...

And I will add that 32 out of 100 vs 7 out of 100 is almost a 5 to 1 ratio...

Here are a few numbers..

Less than 60% of Black and Hispanic students graduate on time or at all from HS in Minnesota.

85% of White students graduate on time.

Here is something interesting... Minnesota is dead last in graduation rate for minorities, yet they rank in the top 3 for national reading, math and college entrance exams.

http://www.mprnews.org/story/2015/02/18/graduation-rates

70.5% of public high school students are white.

11.5% are black.

8% are hispanic.

When 40% of your kids don't graduate from HS on time or at all you have a serious problem.

This has ZERO to do with being poor.

You just had an election.

The conservatives won a landslide victory even after Miliband went as far left as Labour has been since it's early days.

He lost very badly.

Europe is already full of welfare states that are failing. The socialists in Greece and Hollande in France are perfect examples of how insane these ideas are.

I know the Germans would love to see a socialist in 10 Downing...

Believe that..
