No, I don't mean the website. I mean my home. Your home. Our SPACE.

See, I was brushing my teeth last night and realized that my roommate does things that drives me batty (like leaving the toothpaste in the sink). My ex did, too. I like my home a certain way, and while I am not anal, I have some things I hate when others do. So I decided to start a thread today asking what would be the worst thing(s) a boy/girlfriend could do when (s)he moved in with you?

For me, it would be:

*Messing with my books without intent to actually READ them.
*Not wiping off the counters after making food.
*Leaving food crumbs anywhere.

Next! happy

Getting cigarette burns in on the counters, leaving dirty dishes, not cleaning up after themselves or putting garbage in the garbage can, and generally not sharing in chores. Heck, I have a 12 year old for all the above, (except the cigarette part laugh ). Don't need another adult thinking I'm the freakin' maid. frustrated frustrated frustrated

laugh Wow, seems the women get annoyed over the bathroom/kitchen and the men over the livingroom. laugh

I'll gladly give him the remote so long as he cleans up after himself in the kitchen. Fair? laugh

Who talks during Family Guy? BLASPHMEY! shocked As for the morning wood... can I brush my teeth first?

my kids move back in with me a few years ago and thought that mom was the cook, maid and everything else.

So I went on strike, only cook meals for my self, washed only my dishes and clothing, only cleaned my room and the livingroom.

Well the dishes piled up till one day there wasn't any clean, that is when my son did all the cleaning, so it worked.

Hmmm, I'm not compulsively clean, or neat or anything like that. But, damn, if you make a mess, clean it up, I shouldn't have to ask or do it myself.

Things that drive me crazy:
Not putting the toilet seat down.
Not flushing.
Leaving bathwater in the tub.
Not cleaning up spills.
Not putting your dinner plate in the sink when your done.
Leaving laundry in the floor/on the bed.
Not putting away clean laundry.
Leaving soda cans sitting around.
Not emptying ash trays.
Smoking in general is DISCUSTING please don't do it in my bedroom.
Not turning the TV and lights off when leaving a room.

My mom did that when my sisters and I were teens! rofl My kids have chores, but they always have had chores so it's never been an issue with them. My sisters and I, until we were teens, had a stepdad who expected my mom to do EVERYTHING.

See guys... teach the kids to respect their mom, yo!

ETA: Yeah, it was toothpaste spittle. sick
