Yes, I can get an idea of what someone may be like. Of course, that's not going to be accurate if I don't get to know them outside of the forums, though.

I think you can tell their basic personality but wouldn't strictly go by the forums. It takes a while for people to show their true colors. Hence how I ended up with one 15 year marriage and one 10 year marriage and two divorces!

ok cutie67 have more 3 divorces...life is a process of learning. people changes through experiences. ill jus know divorce here in canada. in the Philippines annulment is acceptable but not divorce...change of spelling but it the same. ill jus dont understand why they have to go on divorce. why not talk to each other including their child...is that a better idea. i think they will not let their child to suffer so they will talk nicely. or maybe fight with each other naked is like adam and eve. their would be action in that moment...wacky idea...hahahaha

Actaully yeah I think you can get an idea about personality types in here..like this one guy that I met online..turned out to be a HUGE nut..accused me of being gay just because when he was bad mouthing gay people,I told him that I didn't have anything against gay people..lol.So yeah,had he posted "I'm a big ol' homo phobe" somewhere in a forum I would have known to steer clear of him because I have no time for anyone who can't just let people be who they are SUPPOSED to be..Some people put up a front to try and make themselves look a certain way..others will flat out tell you "Hey,guess what?..I'm a fool"..it's up to you to heed or ignore that warning.

Well from my experience.... You can't tell the first thing about a person unless they are being completely genuine. I mean for all you know the person your talking too could be anyone really. There is no security. For instance I could sign up as a female, and say I'm a sexy 21 year old. (not that I would). Post a fake picture and fool the unsuspecting community.

The only way to ensure you've actually met a date-able person is to meet them face to face. Bottom line. I understand the risk and the insecurity for men and women. But If you can't even get that far then its almost like a waste of time and energy.

Try insisting on a face to face. My suggestion anyway.

Honestly you can get a bit of their personality to and extent. But in reality it takes meeting them and really getting to know them to get the full effect of their personality.

As they say online we can be anyone but in person many of our flaws do surface.

some people are the same on line as in person.. but like kristi says.... you never know till you meet in person.. they may still say the same things but dont live by what they say.. and in fact you would only know if you met in person..

I think you can get some idea, some of the time about some of the people. Those who post a lot, I think, let their personalities come through. I don't think you can 'know' anyone in a forum without spending real time together over an extended period of time. That my friends is why I ignore the 'dating' part of this site and just come here to play with you all in the forums.
