It is a very hard thing for single moms and dads. They have to play both roles and these days with society so damaged, its a rough ride. My support goes out to all single parents as well.flowerforyou

Yes being a single parent is tough and we just have to do the best we can. I receive no help from ex so it adds an extra burden but I do what I can which does not always seem like it's enough. We do without alot but somehow I manage to get what is necessary to survive. I do know that I'm more blessed than alot right now because I do at least have a decent job and I'm in my second semester in an RN program which will help immensely in the future.

I'm a single parent ( thank goodness my daughter is well behaved). Being a single parent is even more rough when your single because of loosing the other person through death . It is even more tough on the kid(s) . so remember to be nice to us single mom and dads out there.

i had my daughter when i was 19 and i was a single parent and then i met my son dad later and we were together on and off for 2yrs before we got married (now divorced)and even after i felt i was still a single parent

my daughter is now 27(soon to be 28)
she had her son(her oldest at 14 2months before she turned 15
and had her daughter at 17
she had her the day before she graduated which she graduated 1year early and she was at the top of her class

she was with there dad on and off for 10yrs
and 5yrs ago she married her kids dad and a month after she found out she was expecting there 3rd child (she now 5yrs old)
they split up right before there 1st annerversary (just like mine)
she filed for divorce
sometime back.'but she was always the main bread winner even when she was with her kids dad...

she been in differnt relationships
and she been with this one guy not even a year
and i was informed im going to be a grandma again
this guy seem to adore my grandkids and he does treat them right which is a plus

its really sad for children to have to go through getting used to having just one parent.....God meant for them to have both parents....but when circumstances are such that it is unavoidable, then it is a lot of work to heal one's self even while helping the child get through that phase....and its an amazing job that single parents are doing when they do not give up on their children or themselves......cheers to that spirit of holding on and making things better...

wow so where do i begin i am a single parent of two my daughter is 4 and my son is 2 my son is an angel and my daughter is taking on her fathers attitudes i cant get her to listen at all no matter what i try, it is hard im lonely, depressed my ex left me with a broken down van that doesnt run right. I'm in school getting ready to graduate and i want to go back, i have no job, and i just want to find that one soulmate who ill feel complete with. its very hard but its very rewarding too. Because the single parents are the ones who have a better bond i think than the parents who run off without thier kids.

i am raising 4 beautiful girls on my own right now, yeah its tough and i have my moments where i want to break down and cry BUT i wouldnt change it for the world! my daughters are my world. One thing i hate is when other people judge me for having 4 kids. i do it all on my own i ask for help from no one!! i have so much respect for every single mother and single father out there

i have been in the same shoes that you are in sweetheart, actually i'm still wearing them. i'm a single mother of 4 and yes it is hard and we do have our moments but in the end it is all worth it. we all want that special someone that will sweep us off our feet. Let me tell you god does have a plan for all of us and you will find mr. right, it might not be today or tomorrow or even next week but you will find someone. just be patient.

Single parenting is hard enough for anyone.. but I had may tubes reattached to give my childless husband the children that he wanted. I had one daughter already..so at 42 and 44 i had 2 more daughters! My oldest daughter is married and successful..but i'm now 58 with 2 teens to raise alone. Kind of a dirty trick..don't u think!!I wouldn't trade my kids for anything and we r doing pretty good but it IS HARD. My heart goes out to those who give their all for their kids!!

.I'm a single mom 2 boys. My 13 yr old is high-functioning autistic and my 5 yr old suffered brain damage from a car accident at 3 months old. Most my friends are single mom to so we have come together to create our own family. Funny thing is we all have boys but no fathers in the picture. Lol. So just remember when your alone and thinking you can't do right by your kids that you are their rock in this quicksand of a world. But that you also have a rock of your own, either a friend or a family member that you can call upon devil smokin devil :flowerforyou
