This entire charade seems to be a botch from the start.

- How was Mitchell even able to pass the psych. qual. for employment in prison?
- Why was she allowed the kind of access necessary for her to cooperate with the prisoners as she did?
- How could the power tool use be conducted without any C.O. noticing? I'd definitely want that one looked into. Heads should ROLL on that one! And if the prison isn't doing periodic* bed checks, they should be.
- And I agree, the reporting has been bizarre; disclosing details that should not be; and omitting details that should be included.

It may be unique or just different state-to-state but here in KS none of those 'NEW HIRE' prison staff are asked to take 'ANY PSYCH' evals prior to being hired!

I know 4 such adult humans that were 'FIRED' from the El Dorado Penitentiary 35 miles to the Southwest from me!
1 local LPN was discharged for providing both the guards & inmates 'HYDROCORDONE' out of her own pocket stash!
2 male guards 'FIRED' for verbal & physical abuse to; not only prisoners but to the 'DOG PLACEMENT PROGRAM' that they have established within that prison system.

So I doubt that the requirements for Mrs. Mitchell would have been anything but a simple reference check - criminal record check; any warm body is able to work in any 'LOCK UP' facility here in KS. grumble

Very good points. One would think that immigrants would get some kind of screening/training ... something ... that would point out cultural differences that violate local law. No US citizen knows all the laws but are generally raised to understand the general rules and limits.

I saw another article yesterday of "honor killings". Sad story.

Oddly, we Americans seem to take our foreigners coming into our great nation for granted: ie...the simplest things like appliances can rapidly become a hazard for those foreigners!
Like: exchange students - foreign students coming into our colleges - families re-acclimated here as refugees...being placed into a fully furnished apartment or home and just left to figure all those electrical & toilet functions out all on their own!!!

It doesn't take a lot of imagination to think about the horrors that a improperly loaded washing machine or dishwasher will do to a home if the humans don't understand the proper use & what quantity of washing solution --- and don't even ask about that TOILET!!!

Taking someone's life or throwing acid in the name of honour is egotistical barbarism and the act of a coward. .. There is no honour And no place for such behaviour in modern society . .. There has to be Something really amiss with the male psyche of those who believe such action is justified .. Or that saving face is valued more than life.

Granted and certainly this heinous behavior shouldn't be done to any HUMAN; and yet we seem to 'PICK AT' other beliefs and faith like they are the 'end all - be all' of those extreme human actions! When we have numerous records of 'Domestic Violence' being done to all faiths and race of women right here in the good ole USA...and rarely if any of them are of the MUSLIM FAITH.

And I still say; we find the actions of a few heinous humanity printed up and verbally fed to our reading & listening daily life and just 'apply that broad paint brush of A$$umptions' that ALL MUSLIMS behave in that manner...and it's just simply not true!

While Meltzer didn't say when Reagan started carrying, Shirley confirmed the practice began after Reagan was shot and nearly killed by John Hinckley Jr. on March 30, 1981.

'After he recovered, he said, I think in his diary, 'Getting shot hurts,' Shirley said. After that, he resolved to have his own protection in addition to that offered by the Secret Service. The gun, which Shirley says was likely a .38-caliber revolver, was kept in Reagan's personal briefcase, which he routinely carried with him onto Air Force One and Marine One.

He said that Nancy Reagan wasn't thrilled and the Secret Service felt similarly, but Reagan insisted.

'Who's going to say no to the President?' he said.

Reagan carried the gun after his presidency as well, Shirley said, and had it until it was confiscated by Colo a year or two after his 1994 Alzheimer's diagnosis, due to the president's diminishing capacity.

What's happened to the presidential firearm in in 20 years since? Sadly, Shirley says he doesn't know, and apparently nobody else does either.

THE REAL DONALD TRUMP AND ONLY HIS TOP 10 FAILURES >>>
Trump Airlines

By Kayla Webley Friday, Apr. 29, 2011 - David A. Cantor / AP

In October 1988, Donald Trump threw his wallet into the airline business by purchasing Eastern Air Shuttle, a service that for 27 years had run hourly flights between Boston, New York City and Washington, D.C. For roughly $365 million, Trump got a fleet of 17 Boeing 727s, landing facilities in each of the three cities and the right to paint his name on an airplane. Trump pushed to give the airline the Trump touch, making the previously no-muss, no-fuss shuttle service into a luxury experience. To this end, he added maple-wood veneer to the floors, chrome seat-belt latches and gold-colored bathroom fixtures. But his gamble was a bust. A lack of increased interest from customers (who favored the airline for its convenience not its fancy new look) combined with high pre–Gulf War fuel prices meant the shuttle never turned a profit. The high debt forced Trump to default on his loans, and ownership of the company was turned over to creditors. The Trump Shuttle ceased to exist in 1992 when it was merged into a new corporation, Shuttle Inc. No word on whether the gold-plated faucets survived the merger.

Trump Vodka

By Kayla Webley Friday, Apr. 29, 2011 - Michael Bezjian

The Donald had a vodka. Trump vodka (labeled super premium, naturally) was introduced in 2006 to much fanfare. Under the slogan "Success Distilled," the liquor was touted as the "epitome of vodka" that would "demand the same respect and inspire the same awe as the international legacy and brand of Donald Trump himself." At the time, Trump predicted the T&T (Trump and Tonic) would become the most requested drink in America, surpassed only by the Trump Martini. On Larry King Live, he said he got into the vodka business to outdo his friends at Grey Goose. Six years later, Grey Goose is still on top shelves throughout the country. As for Trump vodka? Yeah, we'd never heard of it either. The New York City blog Gothamist reports the vodka has stopped production "because the company failed to meet the threshold requirements." Two weeks ago, Trump's company filed an injunction to prevent an Israeli company from selling Trump vodka without his consent or authorization. Meaning the Donald stopped the only people in world who wanted to drink his vodka from doing so.

The Bankruptcies

By Claire Suddath Friday, Apr. 29, 2011 - Dennis Van Tine

"I don't like the B word," Donald Trump said in 2010 while testifying in a New Jersey bankruptcy courtroom about his gambling company, Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc., which had filed for bankruptcy for the third time. Given the number of times Trump has flirted with bankruptcy, you'd think he'd be used to that word by now.

In 1990, the banking institutions that backed his real estate investments had to bail him out with a $65 million "rescue package" that contained new loans and credit. But it wasn't enough, and nine months later the famous developer was nearly $4 billion in debt. He didn't declare personal bankruptcy, although his famous Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, N.J., did have to file for it (bondholders ended up taking a 50% stake in the investment). Trump's economic troubles continued through the early '90s, while he was personally leveraged to nearly $1 billion. In 2004, Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts also filed for bankruptcy. The company was only a small portion of Trump's real estate empire, but he did still have to personally cough up $72 million to keep it afloat. In 2009, the same company (by then renamed Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc.) filed for bankruptcy again. Yet during all of this, no one ever told Trump, "You're fired!" Probably because no one could.

The Hair

By Claire Suddath Friday, Apr. 29, 2011 - Gary Coronado

Trump isn't fooling anyone with that hairdo. That's not his real hairline, he just blow-dried it forward and then combed it backward. Surprisingly, his hair started out kind of normal in the 1980s. It appeared to be hair sprayed into a pouf, but that was to be expected in the decade in which everything went big. But as the real estate mogul aged, he tried to will himself younger with his hair. It got blonder and blonder until it went yellow. Then it turned into — well, whatever it is that it is now.

The Marriages

By Feifei Sun Friday, Apr. 29, 2011 - Ron Galella / WireImage
For all his success in the boardroom, Donald Trump's life in the bedroom has been messy at best. The real estate magnate married his first wife, Ivana, in 1977, but things got rocky after Trump's affair with actress Marla Maples surfaced in New York City tabloids. "You *****, leave my husband alone!" Ivana (pictured) told Maples on a ski trip in Aspen, Colo. Ivana's warning fell on deaf ears, and in 1992, Trump left her with a reported $25 million settlement and married his mistress one year later. His marriage to Maples was even shorter-lived, and the couple divorced in 1999. These days, Trump's married to Slovenian supermodel Melania Knauss. Together in marital bliss since 2005, this relationship's proving the third time really is a charm — so far anyway.

Trump Mortgage

By Stephen Gandel Friday, Apr. 29, 2011 - J. Kempin / FilmMagic

In April 2006, Trump announced that, after years in the real estate business, he was launching a mortgage company. He held a glitzy press conference at which his son Donald Jr. predicted that Trump Mortgage would soon be the nation's No. 1 home-loan lender. Trump told CNBC, "Who knows more about financing than me?" Apparently, plenty. Within a year and a half, Trump Mortgage had closed shop. The would-be lending powerhouse was done in by timing (the housing market cratered in 2007) and ironically enough, given Trump's Apprentice TV show, poor hiring. The executive Trump selected to run his loan company, E.J. Ridings, claimed to have been a top executive at a prestigious investment bank. In reality, Ridings' highest role on Wall Street was as a registered broker, a position he held for a mere six days.

Trump: The Game

By Megan GibsonFriday, Apr. 29, 2011

In 1989, the Donald teamed up with Milton Bradley to release Trump: The Game, a Monopolyesque board game in which three to four players must buy and sell real estate and try to trump one another in business deals. A year later Trump admitted the game was vastly underselling the predicted 2 million units he and the toy company had hoped for. Not one to abandon ridiculous ideas, Trump revived the game 15 years later after his success on The Apprentice, making sure to incorporate the series catchphrase "You're fired!" into the game. Other updated features included a sterner-looking Trump on the box cover, somewhat simpler rules and cards with business tips. Enduring feature? The considerable tack factor of a Donald Trump board game.

The China Connection

By Alexandra Silver Friday, Apr. 29, 2011 - Iain Masterton

"The problem with our country is we don't manufacture anything anymore," Donald Trump told Fox News a year ago. "The stuff that's been sent over from China," he complained, "falls apart after a year and a half. It's crap." That very same Donald Trump has his own line of clothing, and it's made in ... China. (O.K., O.K. — not all of it. Salon, which reported this intriguing, head-scratching fact, notes that some of his apparel is from Mexico and Bangladesh.)

Trump Casinos

By Megan Friedman Friday, Apr. 29, 2011 - Saul Loeb

Donald Trump's gambles don't always go as planned. Especially when that gamble is gambling itself. In February 2009, Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the third time in a row — an extremely rare feat in American business. The casino company, founded in the 1980s, runs the Taj Mahal, the Trump Plaza and the Trump Marina. All three casinos are located in Atlantic City, N.J., where the gambling industry has faced a decline in tourists who prefer gambling in Pennsylvania and Connecticut instead. Trump defended himself by distancing himself from the company, though he owned 28% of its stock. "Other than the fact that it has my name on it — which I'm not thrilled about — I have nothing to do with the company," he said. He resigned from Trump Entertainment soon after that third filing, and in August of that year he, along with an affiliate of Beal Bank Nevada, agreed to buy the company for $100 million. The company reported it emerged from bankruptcy in July 2010.

The Middle East 'Policy'

By Ishaan TharoorFriday, Apr. 29, 2011 - Atta Kenare

When recently discussing oil prices on air with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, Donald Trump blustered on about the scheming malfeasance of OPEC and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Trump insisted the U.S. could leverage its military supremacy to persuade OPEC to lower prices. In his words: "I'm going to look 'em in the eye and say, 'Fellas, you'd have your fun. Your fun is over.'" But this rather naive suggestion of bullying one of the U.S.'s most longstanding and essential allies in the Middle East — not to mention the recent customer in a megabillion-dollar U.S. weapons sale that would create tens of thousands of American jobs — was comparatively harmless when set against his next suggestion. Trump bemoaned U.S. costs sustained during its wars in the Middle East and floated the idea of "taking" Iraqi oil. Stephanopoulos countered incredulously, "So, we steal an oil field?" Trump responded, "Excuse me. You're not stealing anything. You're taking — we're reimbursing ourselves." Given how many U.S. leaders have had to stress to their Middle East interlocutors that they're not in it simply for the oil, Trump would be starting off regional relations on pretty slippery ground.

I pulled this from your very own article/link back up there^^^ LOL
Many Americans now view him primarily as a reality TV star after 14 seasons of his "Apprentice" series, and his numerous flirtations with a presidential run -- first in 1987, then 1999 and again in 2004 and most recently in 2011 -- have left voters eye-rolling as he prompted yet another round of will-he or won't-he speculation.

SERIOUSLY --- OMG, good grief; with his bravado and ego his ability to put his foot {both feet} firmly in his mouth would insult every nation and wipe out any and all good will around the world. But Putin would probably admire and honor him; they think a lot alike.

Lpdon stated >>>
Trump would be amazing at foreign policy. He is a fighter and he doesn't take no for any answer. We don't need another politician in the White House. We need someone who is tough and savvy.

He plans on recruiting back some of the top Generals we have had that Obama pushed out. He stated he will find another General Patton and General MacArthur. He also has a good idea on beating ISIS without sending troops into Syria.

He is also a constitutionalist, so I am surprised your not all for him.

Oh - Lordy; that's brilliant...and yet given 'ole comb overs' racist/sexist POV {see my article & link} the 'Hyena Pack Mentality' of placing those drunkards/sexist/groping fornicators and perverts back into their ole jobs would be something that 'Ole Comb Over' would do and LOL his way around town as a 'MASTER MIND OF THE INSANE'

The figures show that 255 commanders were fired since 2005, and that 78 of them were felled by sex-related offenses, costing 32 jobs in the Army, 25 in the Navy, 11 in the Marine Corps and 10 in the Air Force.

Alcohol and drug-related problems cost the jobs of 27 commanders — 11 in the Navy, eight in the Army, five in the Marine Corp(s and three in the Air Force.

'It's troublesome,' said Rear Admiral John Kirby, the Navy's top spokesman.

Scandal: David Petraeus' resignation following his extra-martial affair brought a lot of attention to the sexual dalliances of leading commanders in various branches of the military!

Non-sexual: Stanley McChrystal was fired when he made disparaging remarks about Obama's national security team, including Vice President Joe Biden.

From sexual assault and harassment to pornography, drugs and drinking, ethical lapses are an escalating problem for the military's leaders.

With all those offenses taken together, more than 4 in every 10 commanders at the rank of lieutenant colonel or above who were fired fell as a result of behavioral stumbles since 2005.

The latest to take such a fall from grace is Brigadier General Jeffrey Sinclair, fired from his command in Afghanistan last May and now facing a court-martial on charges of sodomy, adultery and pornography and more, is just one in a long line of commanders whose careers were ended because of possible sexual misconduct.

Summary of eRumor:

This is a forwarded email that contains an ABC report that alleged of a shakeout of military generals and admirals.

The Truth:

There was a report on October 11, 2013 by ABC’s Martha Raddatz of a major shakeout of military leaders owing to ethic policy violations or lack of leadership. The report was introduced by Dianne Sawyer.

Another version of this eRumor contained a long list put together by Major General Paul Vallely. We found articles posted on his website that said President Obama was purging the military – 197 officers in 5 Years.

Some versions of this eRumor alleged that General Carter Ham was fired and they are unproven. Ham retired from the Army in 2013. On October 31, 2012, a little over a month after the attack on the U.S. Embassy facility in Benghazi, the Department of Defense released a statement that said General Carter Ham was retiring after President Obama nominated Army General David M. Rodriguez to succeed him as leader of Africom. Rodriguez was approved by the U.S. Senate for the post in March 2013 and one month later General Ham officially retired. TruthorFiction.Com reported his replacement in November 2012.

Not all the firings were directly done by President Obama as some versions of this eRumor may allege.
Major General Ralph Baker was relieved of his post on April 4, 2013 by General Carter Ham owing to alcohol and sexual misconduct charges. This according to a April 5, 2013 article by Military.Com.

General Bryan Roberts was suspended for adultery and a physical altercation with according to a May 22, 2013 article by USA Today. Roberts’s case remains under investigation.

The Department of Defense has posted an ethics guidance page on the Internet with resources for military conduct.

Honor violence is a crime without a name in the United States. No data is collected on its prevalence, many people think it happens in countries far, far away from the United States, experts on gender-based violence said.

Its forms range from domestic violence for defying parental authority or behaving "too Westernized," to extreme sexual control including female genital mutilation (FGM), forced marriage and ultimately killings to protect the family's reputation in a conservative community.
