I have always believed that whoever invites should be paying. Would be silly if the girl said HEY lets go out to a movie and dinner and then a show or what not..then make him pay ..lol Id have to say "hey lets go to France" in the case lol

LOL good point!

Wow. there must be a mod on line! lol...Thought we were pretty much the only ones and I almost posted this here to begin with.

Those are good rules. LDR's are hard for sure. And I would never give my number out to anyone until I'd exchanged a number of emails with them first. I could count on one hand who here has my number and still have fingers left over.

i would just keep going and act like i didnt notice him unless he said something... if he decided to initiate contact, i would smile, be pleasant, and be BRIEF and be on my way...

Wise girl!

If it's uncomfortable, just go the other way. No need to start drama while on a date.

Although this was clearly NOT a date, your post reminded me of the ONE time I was extremely uncomfortable. My late husband's old g/f from high school (we all went to h/s together) came to his visitation. They ended badly, thanks to her. I kept thinking, "be gracious say thank you for coming" . ugg that was hard

Gosh I must be old or old school, one! haha I've paid for dates but only after dating a while when it was my dates birthday or some special occasion. I don't mind it though.

Ladies, do you expect the gentleman to pay? Guys, would it offend you if the girl says "let's go dutch?"

I agree with your opening post SMS. Although I haven't been on sites in a long time, I do notice it seems to be "text" talk. Either that or they simply can not spell. It makes me sad.

Sorry, just had an additional thought....what if you were so in love with the guy, or had been together a long time? Would that change how one would react?

I agree. Although I have never actually had this happen, I would imagine it would be uncomfortable (depending on the events that led to the breakup).

I have a 3/8 inch variable speed reversing drill. I like to tell people that. It sounds like I know what the heck I am talking about.
