Thanks guys. The Chalet was awesome!...with a Jacusi, fireplace...the whole nine yards. The bike ran wonderful Krupa all the way down and back. It probably did better than my Sporty would have...that was an 883. The horse ride was the bomb too riding up and down the mts. happy

GREAT pictures everyone!! Twenty years ago I was newely divorced...so I decided to post the first happiest pictures that I could find. These were taken 19 years ago.

This is the Chalet that was our destination. It is in the hills of TN through the Smokey Mountains. We took the Blue Ridge Parkway for a long portion of it.

Here's my second bike....Honda Shadow 1100

This was the reason for the trip...horses.

so what.........check records in the 20's and 30's there are records from then that still haven't been broken. the green movement is the propoganda of the socialist left.

If you think that cutting all the trees down won't have an effect on our environment, you are sadly mistaken. Have you seen some of the smog in some of the big cities?? The earth cannot keep up with the misuse of it's natural resources. We can't keep taking oil and coal out of the earth without retaliation....earthquakes, monsoons & sunamis...just to name a few. We are already in a bind with our medicines because of the rainforests being shreaded up. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Unfortunately there are three glaring problems:

1. To go completely green would break some sectors of the economy.

That's alright...bring it on! I'm already broke ohwell

It might do good for those so plentiful, that waste so much, to have to go without for a change....might bring them down a notch or two.

Actually...I'm a recycler biggrin . I love reusing anything and everything that I can. I love making something that is used and abused brand new. You may all think I'm crazy but I believe everything on this planet has some sort of energy; and if it's directed on a positive path, it smiles, I smile, the world smiles. I think it's a darn shame that very little is valued anymore. If everyone did just a little bit to preserve this planet and "help" it along, I think our species would excel as a whole. This "throw away" mentality needs a "do over" .

Yeah, I am recycler too. My garbage consumption is barely 1/8 of a bag in a week but the recycling gets filled. I recycle a lot of old things to make my costumes with; like old computer parts, radio parts, old foam, surgical tubing, a Glen Fiddich tube, a car hose, and old hockey pads to make a Borg outfit. I used pop can lids and ribbon to make a Klingon sash. I used a broken rubbermaid container for my Xena armour. Its amazing what you can do with throw-away stuff and a little imagination.

Kim, people are over-analyzing this. I think it's a beautiful thread. Thanks for making it for us this morning. flowerforyou

I think it's a beautiful thread too MsKim...but the problem I have with people is that they "blame" their parents, and some of them, for their entire lives. I had a very tough childhood too...full of abuse from my father; but once I left home I vowed to change my heritage and not make the same mistakes as my mother and father did. I forgave them. Everyone does what they have to do. I chose to stay close with mine :)

wonderful to read MisKim, I know how much family means to you and again Congrats on the new grandbaby!

I'm pretty much the opposite. I live alone with all my family living in Canada or Arizona. I think it's different for men to be alone though, I never minded it at all.

It's tough to be away from family, as I am and always have been close with my siblings; but my brother made his move to Florida. He was the last one to move. I miss them even tho I talk to them regularly. I think being/living alone depends on who you are and if you are comfortable in your own skin. I've become my own best friend and...I even laugh at myself laugh

A new day beside her bed, all kinds of visions in my head.

What will come what will stay, I wish it all would go away.

Tests and more tests, Please GOD give her time to rest.

Today they detected an abnormal mass and a block,

Tomorrow an MRI to show it better, we are all in this shock!

PRAYERS and hopes to have it go away, This has been a very bad day.

GOD PLEASE SHINE YOUR RAYS OF LIGHT INTO MY MOTHER TO NIGHT, AMEN.
