Forums really. Much as I would like to meet someone I work afternoons and evenings and my weekends are precious to me. My hours of work will change in the next few months to daytime hours when early summer comes but till then I just use email and forums on here.

My dearest and closest lifelong friends are Jewish!!! I am praying this anti-semitic hatred is stopped !!!! You just made another! One thing I have learned from various forums is anti-semitissm is built-in deep into someone's psyche. It is hard to break their hate. You can bombard them with facts to decimate their idiotic and hateful conspiracy theories, blood libels, beliefs in the most ridiculous views etc., etc., but they rarely budge. I think it is because very very deep down they rather admire the Jews but of course don't want to admit it and as we have seen from a raging anti-semeites in the past on forums they refuse to believe historical facts and still spew out rubbish against the Jews. The Jewish people will survive and thrive even with these anti-semites! Maybe people find it easier to hate than to love? And certainly people don't find it easy to understand history. Plus you get the non-believers in God who perhaps had such an intense religious upbringing and schooling that they totally rebel in adolescence/adulthood and go against everything they were taught and that leads to their antisemitism. However those in support of the Jewish people should not give up educating the haters and educate them on historical facts and the present situation, because there is a good chance some may be won over, and in fact I did win over a few on another forum. In the end they were simply stumped against my and others' posts. |

Being in my mid-fifties plus 2 years, yes, if I were looking for someone a guy in his 30s would be too young.
Someone in his 30s would want to have kids of his own and a woman in her 50s would be too old. No matter how much he would deny that kids don't matter he is still in his prime for potential fatherhood whereas a woman in her 50s is past her childbearing years. |

I bought a used Netbook for my Linux box. I am thinking of going light and running Puppy. Is there any reason I should not? I had Ubuntu on my old one and was happy with that but Puppy seems so easy. I suppose if you don't run Puppy he might become lazy and overweight and will trash your home, so I would say run Puppy and he will be happy. Ooops sorry - I couldn't resist that one.
