had a GREAT long weekend.. 4 DAYS
 and still not long enough 
only 2 more ta go (including today of course) then back to le WEEKEND.. which will consist of preparing the OUTside for Winter..  although it's still HOT round these parts during the day.. the nights are improvin with cooler temps 
anywho.. duty calls.. work  oh well.. such is life huh

Do you feel there is a difference in being polite and civil, opposed to being nice? Do you feel some people act polite and civil to fool you into thinking they are nice? How do you feel????/ my ex is the perfect example of this.. he shows the world a polite and civil, social side whereas he's not at ALL nice behind closed doors! to me.. two-faced people are extremely dishonest.. and therefore not at all worthy of my trust OR time.. a person should be who they are at ALL times.. mine fooled me into thinking he was the greatest guy in the world.. after marriage.. his Jekyll side emerged and I became his punching bag mind you.. it taught me a valuable lesson on being more attuned to looking deeper at a persons character and watching for red flags I'd have never looked for before..

mine was my Aunt.. my mom was pretty sick when I was very young so I ended up spending a LOT of time living with my Aunt.. don't get me wrong.. she was a HOOT.. but when she had to be.. she was VERY firm!
as I get older though, I'm becoming less tolerant of 'snobs' and a LOT more open with my opinions..

it irritates the heck outta me..
I was brought up in a very British fashion.. I was taught etiquette and even walked around wearing a book on my head for posture.. however.. I was also taught to "do unto others, as you would have done unto you" and "think before you speak" so.. when people I'm 'around' start talking down about others, I typically tend to excuse myself, and walk away... if it REALLY rubs me the wrong way though.. I WILL express my disdain as respectfully as I can, THEN walk away |

I collect Asian artifacts, DVD's, some books but only from fave authors, a few antiques, precious rocks, oh yeah.. and I collect swords & other medieval stuff too

I'd prepare from scratch:
Chinese food roast beef with roasted potatoes, carrots'n onions roast chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed green beans pasta with a home made meat sauce chili and all would have home made bread.. salad and a home made pie or cake! 
mind you.. the menu might change, depending on the tastes of my guest
