I guess yer right when it comes to fiction vs the news.. for the longest time I didn't watch it.. started up for a bit last year but.. with everything going on in the USA at the moment figured I'd give my blood pressure a break  so haven't watched since..
new Jason Statham movie out, Shelter, may watch that tonight.. I love his movies, so actiony 
What I have learnt in the past 15,5 years of no news is that if it's truly important and I should know, I always find out about it one way or another. Then I still do NOT watch the news as that has an emotional load (if that's the right word). I then Google it to find an article about what's going on which I then read. Reading printed/typed text hasn't got the emotional load (think voice, body language etc.) it's basically neutral. Then I'm up to speed without any emotional coercion from the external. I did the same when I heard that something was going on in the US. When it matters, I always find out one way or another and then I can decide for myself whether or not to look into it. Way better than being overwhelmed plural times a day when the radio is on or the telly. Hearing it once is enough for me, hihi. The Statham movie sounds interesting! I'm going to look it up tonight :) I too like Jason Statham, seen many of his movies. totally get the 'emotional' factor associated with some news broadcasts.. and why my blood pressure was getting too high.. my dad liked it old school too.. a thing they used to call "a newspaper" with words printed on paper.. almost non existant today.. lol |

Just got around to watching Sinner's last night. yeah.. I can't do horror  seems there's a lot of new horror flicks out and being released soon tho.. just not ma cup-o-tea..

Mornin' peeps'n lurkers.. happy HUMP day to y'all 🥂
well.. already more than an 1" of snow on the ground and more is falling..  per usual, the weather network LIED!!! 🤬 oh well.. guess I'll be shovelin.. later.. just not now.. too sore from my outing yesterday.. 
anywho.. hope everyone has a super day today 🥂 Another 2 inches here over night. Is it lunch time yet 
we got about the same.. considering I'm not that far from ya.. as the crow flies
I shoveled it cuz it's wicked windy here and it's messing wit ma fox path  then came in and fixed lunch.. so yup.. it's past lunch now.. enjoy yer sir

IDK, if the dude thought, "gee that old decrepit guy looks like he may need some help", or he thought he was doing a favor for someone else and got the wrong address. In any event he didn't do the driveway, just the walk. And like I said the snow was less than an inch. It is awesome regardless if it was a mistake or act of kindness.. It is nice to know there are still good people out there.. you can say that again gf.. acts of kindness these days are far too few in my opinion.. 
thankfully, I was raised to help when others need it, regardless of who they are.. |

Joyful! Going to my daughter in a bit so I will see my 2 li'l granddaughters as well :) The youngest had her 1st birthday yesterday! feeling happy for Crystal cuz she gets to see her daughter and grandkids today

Maybe look at what you would do if it was one of your ex's wanting to meet. Usually ex's are an ex for a reason and you do have to trust your new partner. Personally, if an ex wanted to meet up (and for some reason I agreed) then I would want to bring my new girlfriend with me. Then there is no doubt in what is happening in this meeting. Hopefully she would do the same. But if I felt that there was a problem, then I would have to speak up and let her know that it is making me feel jealous/insecure and I do not like feeling like that. this ^^^ makes sense to me.. if she's meeting them, tag along.. if she doesn't want you to.. red flag! |

OK, since there is such a collective of smart women in this thread...What would be the right thing for a guy to say that wants to tell you something but does not want you to think he is interested in you. Help us dumb guys out here with the magic words that make everything right...lol be truthful... there, I said it, simple huh lol might I suggest telling her something akin to.. Just popping in for a few before me and my recliner meet up for a few.. 
Ohh my I feel for y'all having to deal with all the snow that is coming down. Some of the amounts that some areas have received is unreal.. Stay safe, hope your prepared.. Here in Texas snow is not something we see very often. And well when we do it is only here a couple days then all signs are gone.. We seem to get the ice first then a little snow.. you mean before yer recliner decides to swallow you whole again huh
come on, be honest.. yer just happy it's not in YOUR back yard
pffffffft.. they're predicting an inch at most.. piece of cake  might not even have to shovel it WOOT ha ha..
