Actually, if anyone is all that interested in tracing their roots to the acclaimed "divinity" why not try geneology?

Of course there may be links one does not want to uncover and if in the end you find no link to any of the 'chosen' lines(tribes)that have automatically been given Gods grace - you can always grovel like the rest of the Christians, in the hopes that you have fulfilled all the requirements of salvation.

12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Jesus' feet weren't the color of bronze, they were the color of broNze in the furance, which is a burning white color. The purpose of the verse was to show that Jesus was completely pure, not to describe his skin color.

And I think it's funny that the question is "Was Jesus Black or White?"...Like those were the only two choices. What about the obvious one...Semetic?

Let's see, Jesus was a jew before the european intigration, as according to the bible his skin would have been not quite what we think of as "black" today, nor "white", but a golden brown. However, this is one of the reasons engraven images of the prophets is supposed to be forbidden, when we get so caught up in things like what Jesus looked like we start to forget where the focus is supposed to be, and that's on his teachings.

And for the one who denounced the "african" jesus, remember, we all came from africa at some point and we all descended from black men & women;^]

what does it matter

not his skin color

Are you people that say this is the actual word of God now saying we should not take it so literally. Its the underlying message that matters?

hey Jesus was probably white ..I mean it was in the middle east and people rarely follow Gods that look like them so a plan was devised to kidnap a white baby and give it to Mary ...the white baby was the gift of the Magi

So that song "what child is this" is actually Mary asking the Magi about her gift.

black or white?

Well, when I saw him in New Orleans it was really hard to tell ... he hadn't bathed in quite some time and he had been dragging a cross up and down Bourbon Street for hours...

Does it really make a difference what colour he is .... er was ....

If so ... then note the area of the world from wence he came ... otherwise see him for his teachings ... they are all the colours of humanity ... hold what resonates as truth for you

Well I wonder why people so sure of the divinity of this man and all the proof we have that he existed, would not know something as basic as skin color?

Is there really any truth in this book?

maybe the truth in the book is

that race prejudice is not relevant to his teachings

and thus the writers of said "book"

were not inspired to write about the skin color (race)

because then the race of which he belonged

would think they are better than the others

but hey what do i know
