Why would a 19 year old girl go for a 25 year old guy? Is it the age thing?

This is what happened, I was dating this girl for a little while then she dumped me and three days after she dumped me she is seeing this guy. I’m 21, more of her age group. I don’t really understand… the real funny thing is I treated her like a Queen. I try to be this nice caring guy but it’s getting me nowhere and now I lost the one girl I felt a really special connection with. Where is a miracle when you need one? It’s so hard right now because I still have feelings for her...

I was 19 once ... a million years ago, and I don't think her interest in the other guy has a whole lot to do with his age (unless she just has a 'thing' for older, more established men).

She could have just as easily dumped you for another 21 yr old - would that have made you question yourself any more deeply?

Don't dwell on the why's - she didn't want what you were offering, but that doesn't mean that there aren't 100 other women fantastic women out there who would be honoured to be with you -- go find them and don't look back!

All you can do is learn whatever there is to learn from it and get over it in your time. After you are totally ready, get back out there and start again.

I heard a great quote this morning, "The things you see change when you change the way you look at things".

i feel for you bro and to answer your question it's very simple if you think about it. If you ask a guy what his ideal girl would be looks aren't the immediate answer. we tend to describe what we'd like to see i a girl(sweet, funny, intelligent). don't get me wrong now women say the same things. however they are more visual and tend not to look at the inner person but someone who is financially stable and good looking. it's nothing against you bro but girls around that age tend to think that way.
