RIGHT ON THE MONEY jANEbOND.....

IT'S INCREDIBLE HOW WE CONSTANTLY ARE INFLUENCED BY A FEW WHO HAVE THE
COURAGE OR STUPIDITY TO INSIST UPON CHANGES.

JUST TAKE A REAL LOOK ON HOW KIDS ARE ALLOWED TO DRESS WITH THE YOUNG
MEN WEARING "PNATS" THAT HANG HALF WAY DOWN THEIR BUTTS ALONG WITH THE
YOUNG LADIES WEARING "HIP RIDERS."
tHEN WE WONDER, WELL WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TOO....
IT IS WHAT WE MAKE OF IT....SO SIMPLE HUH!

“Anyone notice that since the prayers have stopped in school, the
shootings have taken their place? A lesson to be learned here.”

Yeah right. Just put prayer back in schools and everything will be
hunky dory.

What you are smoking?

In Canada we have two school boards. One regular and the second is the
roman catholic school board.

Red seems to me then your situation was that of a community pressure and
not state pressure. I am sure communities around the world do by peer
pressure force certain things that the community feels is necessary,
however that is not the State who forced the issue, It is probably still
happening today in some certain areas however I don't feel that it is
the STATE that is condoning this action.

As For you quoting and questions, as another posted the age of the
child was not mentioned, as for the age and the knowledge that this
child has? I can tell you I was considered by my Kindergarten teacher as
the Huckleberry Finn of the Jet Age, and she noted that my poetry even
at that time was far above what she thought I was able to right. She
implied another wrote some of the things I did however I can tell you I
did read Poes "The Raven" at the age of 6 and understood it quite
clearly. Which is how I swayed this teachers opinion of my poetry.

 bigsmile

Did you see me put that if it was back in it would stop? I meant exactly
what I said, nothin more. I think you're over analyzin too much there
fella. That was actually quite rude, and I think should stop with the
whole insultin thing there guy. I've NEVER been rude to you, so I'd
appreciate the same from you. If you have a problem with something I
say, too bad. I'm not sayin it for you to like. I don't care anything
about you, so please don't act like you're gonna change my view by
insulting me. Try treatin people with respect, I bet you'll get some in
return, but not from me. This was the first thing I've said in this
thread, and you instantly bash me.

The problem with this whole argument of no religion in schools, is that
it is a fallicy. The critics are trying to get christianity barred from
schools, however, Islam and the koran are freely discussed in schools
with no outcry or calls for banning this religion from being taught in
schools. Teachers feel free to discuss this religion, but shudder at the
thought of even mentioning christianity .

“In Canada we have two school boards. One regular and the second is the

Private schools can certainly teach whatever they want.

I would never send my kids to a public or private school anyway so it’s
all irrelevant to me.

I would home-school my kids for sure!

Traditional school systems suck as educational institutions anyway. (ha

Ok i read and I think prayer should be brought back in schools. When it
was a daily part of life we had so many less problems. When god and
prayeer were in schools there was also a sense of self responsibility
that now seems to be missing. Nobody is responsible for what they do
anymore and this seemed to change right along the time that everybody
started sqwauking about god being mixed with state. I'm sorry mayby we
wouldn't have so many Fu//ed up kids and parents if god was shoved down
a few more throats so to speak and the flag shoved up a few more a$$es.

ANYONE AND I MEAN ABSOLUTELY ANYONE WHO CONSIDERS IT FANATICAL TO
MENTION GOD , BELIEVE, OR FOLLOW HIS TEN COMMANDMENTS SHOULD REALLY TAKE
A GOOD LOOK AT THEIR LIFE FIRST BEFORE TRYING TO PUSH THEIR AFFAIRS AND
LIFE STYLES UPON THE REST. WHY? BECAUSE YOU THEN HAVE BECOME A FANATIC
IN YOUR OWN SENSE.

They are not PRIVATE schools, both the regular and catholic school
boards are public.

Sorry that you took that as bashing redmange.

Wasn’t my intent to bash.

My post was merely my reaction to the words that you posted.

Any bashing was your own assumption (just like I assumed to know what
you were implying)

In actual response to your actual post verbatim - No I haven’t noticed
any correlation between removing prayers in schools and shootings.

There happy now? :o)

ABRACADABRA.....GUESS THAT NAME EXPLAINS IT ALL DOESN'T IT.
SO WHENEVER YOU HAVE CHILDREN THEY WILL BECOME EXPOSED TO ONLY WHAT YOU
TEACH THEM ...HMMM...SOMEHOW I BELIEVE THEY WILL BE FANACTICS AND HIGHLY
JUDGEMENTAL BECAUSE THIS IS THE ATTITUDE THAT YOU REFLECT.
IN MY OPINION OF HOW I INTERPRET YOUR OPINION.

“They are not PRIVATE schools, both the regular and catholic school

Well, if I were a Canadian and my tax dollars were being spent to
support Catholicism I’d be outraged.

Who’s going to pay to support my spiritual beliefs? And why should I
pay to support Catholicism?

That’s not right.

I expected this from someone, As I said prayer was never taught in
school. As I posted earlier I am sure some local communities did use
PEER pressure for certain things.

You feel religion should never be taught in school? I beg to differ with
you, religion in of itself is so tightly wound in our way of living it
should be taught. Teach a child to think and he will ask questions, show
him where to find the answers and he will make his own decisions.

If you feel teaching about other ways of life is wrong then you
contradict the idea of freedom of religion. Does that mean your belief
is the only belief your child is allowed to learn? You can argue with me
on this till the cows come home and I will still tell you no matter what
religious beliefs you have a child or anyone should be allowed to learn
all that life has to offer.

In making his own decisions and knowing where to find the answers he
gains wisdom and with wisdom comes good decision making. He will be able
to control his own destiny and Find what is right for him/her.

The religion class was quite an experience, the teacher taught about
many different cultures and how they related to thier religious beliefs.
Not once did the teacher ever preach his religion at anyone in class. It
was a very informative class and led me to learn more about other
religions that were Not of the Christian Faith.

PEOPLE ...GET REAL HERE...SOME OF YOU ARE REALLY GETTING OUT OF CONTEXT
OF WHAT THE ORIGINAL POST WAS ALL ABOUT.
DOESN'T MATTER WHO WROTE IT, BUT WHAT THE MESSAGE IS ALL ABOUT. IN OTHER
WORDS, IT'S FOOD FOR THOUGHT. IT'S NOT CRAMMING ANY PARTICULAR....IT IS
A REFLECTION OF HOW SOMEONE VIEWS THE ACTUAL CONDITION OF WHAT IS BEING
TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS TODAY. PERHAPS WE REALLY SHOULD CHECK OUT WHO IN FACT
IS TEACHING IN OUR SCHOOL SYSTEMS....THERE LIES THE REAL UNDERDOG!

fanatacism is in what way diffrent than being exposed to ladybugs sense?
children our a byproduct of their parents teachings and in the case of
so many today their lack of teaching
