Is saving $20 really worth someone getting killed? I guess it is.
This shows just how screwed up people really are.

And some may wonder why my faith in mankind has gone down the toilet.

This is particularly disturbing:


"When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling, 'I've been on line since Friday morning!'" Cribbs said. "They kept shopping."

My Christmas shopping lasted about 20 minutes. That's almost a record. And most of that was waiting at the traffic light and going on back roads around everybody to avoid the maniacs.

I think that Walmart should have closed on the spot and stay closed till after new year.

Make it easy.. arrest everyone in the Walmart and charge them ALL with murder.

My shopping lasted 10 minutes and was done weeks ago...I avoid all that mess. Yeah, during the season of peace most are still only worried about themselves. Yet another reason I don't celebrate this holiday...
I haven't given up on people yet though, have not lost my faith in us yet.

Yes I remember reading about this last year, a very frightening event.What does this say about us as a society?

Regardless how old the story is I must say that is pretty disturbing. They should have announced the store was closed or yelled fire and made all the idiots get out. That is pretty sad....people just don't care about human life anymore.

I hope Wal-Mart had to pay millions to the families of the people that were killed in this stampede. Interesting that you never heard anything about what happened after it was all over.

For what it's worth, this isn't an indication of a DECLINE in human behavior. Historically, there's been no perceptible change in general human behavior within recorded history. Mob or group psychology takes over in all kinds of situations, even including dating site forums.

Why should Walmart pay?

That might be why I never shop at Christmas.People really your best time to shop is a few weeks after Christmas.Better buys,great clearance prices, less nutty people.
Honesty can you think of really anything that someone HAS to have?? Other then food, water,and a damn roof over their heads.Please most of us have to many toys,clothes,knicks,tools etc.
Get totes pack away next years gifts and who they are for.and you have saved $100's, also shop for birthdays...If your going to save thats your best bet...Plan ahead.
As for retail, been in the corp business for over 30yrs.I'm telling you even with 75% off they still make a ton of money off you.Thats a fact..that you can have in the bank.The mark ups are so high because of high theft,shipping,benifits, gross yr profits...

I sold jewelry for 2 years, about 400 % markup.
And people thought they were getting such a great deal when I sold some for half my normal price

Heck.... At half price, I still doubled my money.

All the big companies have insurance and lawyers on staff. I guess one could plead that they should have had more security or something like that. People sue if they slip on a floor inside of a business so I would imagine I could sue for a death!!

Then get the culprits!
view the store video, Then arrest and sue the people that really caused the death.
Make it very public, Then maybe it would stop some of the stupidity.

I am sure the store video's have been viewed and checked many times both by police and lawyers.

I don't even like Walmart stores, but I will mention people need to be aware, usually their ad's they post,never have the supply they need.Mainly electronics..getting 3 on hand for sale, please....lol.Yes thats why people get so crazy.Walmart get traffic, and some are stupid enough to fall for the chance of 1 out of 3.So both are at fault...dumb and dummer working together.
