pregnancy can make you shrink...so you might have been taller before having your kiddo, lol. Hahahah hey that is a good one I can use had 2 kids shshsh so it is their fault I shrunk an inch and a half. I knew there was a solution to it somewhere  also, if you were measured at the end of the day, your bones have compressed throughout the day. you'll be taller in the morning, lol. |

The older you get the shorter you get due to the spine being compressed. What he sais. I was 5'6"in stocking feet. Last summer @ the md's am now 5'4.5 " If you do some stretching before you measure yourself you'll straighten up a little more  . I was as surprised as you are now. |

Okay all these years I thought I was 5'2 1/2 now not saying that is very tall but hey it was kewl... Well lately have had a friend that has been ribbing me with the short jokes and he swears I'm not 5'2 1/2. Of course I stand my ground and tell him I'm so...  Well today I decided to see who was right so I get my daughter to get out the measuring tape I take off my shoes and she made sure my hair was not adding any height....   Then the moment comes she says Mom your only 5'1 Shshhshs now that is just not right  Hummmm So who has actually taken the time to really measure their height without the shoes and found out your true height? And how tall did you find out you really are?  The military measured me as 5'8" and I was sure I was only 5'7". Not sure where I got the extra inch but I was measured by doctors so will take their word for it. |

It would take 175000 sperm to weigh as much as a female egg, and if the journey of a single sperm in the female reproductive tract is analogous to a salmon swimming ten miles upstream, and if my mathematical calculations are correct, which I believe they are, your sperm is in fact making you shorter. On a side note what is the plural of sperm? Sperms? or is that the plural already and the I must wonder what the singular of sperm is? Hmmm maybe I should drink more, think less |

TxsGal...you know us smaller women are predisposed to osteoporosis. Something you might want to have checked out. I know I have the very beginning stages--not enough to start shrinking yet, but I'm sure that's coming one of these days. And I'm only 5'1 1/2" to start with...

Most people either lie or are wrong about their height, i have found. Generally people add about an inch on, so i prefer to take an inch off. I like to be different.
I have had people argue with me they are 6ft 2, when i am saying i am 6ft 1, and am standing taller than them. My real height is a touch under 6ft 2. |

All you shorter women are making me HOT. At 5'5" (I was a half inch more than that but I imagine I've lost that by now, haven't checked) ... what was I saying? Oh yeah, at 5'5" I'm always happy to find shorter women. Both times I married "she" was taller but not really by much. Things just work better when she's shorter

At 5'5.5" I am the shortest person in my family, I am willing to bet that I am not even that any more...shrinking spine. My son is just a hair under 6'6" Where did he come from??? His sperm donor (as we refer to him) was under 6' and his father was a professional horse jockey so you can imagine how little he was! Lots of height on my side of the family, I just didn't get much compared to my siblings.

Just tell people you are 155 centimeters tall. If they ask "What is that in feet and inches?" Tell 'em you don't know. Go metric.
