well there missy, when a guy really likes a girl, but she just wants to be friends, it just ain't gonna happen. guys don't take kindly to being set aside while she window shops. in this here situation i think guys would either be persistant to the point of obsession or get pissed off and cut her out entirely. i could be wrong...

Sure, and I've done so in the past. They usually don't last, though, because Three's A Crowd. Then too, sometimes women can't handle having the guy having the power to say 'No.'

Well I'm not a guy but it can happen for most of my friends have always been guys. If the attraction does not go both ways it does not mean they can not be just friends....bigsmile

It would depend on the friend. I have a married friend like that. I have had lesbian friends like that. I had two marriages like that. Are we talking present tense of past tense here?

so what's the count here so far?
i think dmans is a foul tip, because it causes problems
and kerrys is a swing and a miss cause it doesn't last
so that leaves astro as a yes
and dubz and bulldog with a no

I'm sure you know of the phrase 'Friends with Benefits'? Sometimes it means that the guy gets the benefit of fixing the girls' cars and electronics.

And sometimes, too, the radars stay on but he's just not that into you and there's a Failure to Launch. That one rarely works out well, either.

Honest enough?

She is speaking in present tense. Maybe after the infatuation runs its course. Gee, though. that is still a what. Does not compute. System overload. Illogical. This unit will self destruct. Nope. Not me. Ahh. Thats better. I aborted the auto destruct sequence. Wow. That was a close one. Thank you Dalek. I needed the flashback.

I don't recall anyone appointing you umpire, Mr. Bicep. For your information, one of my best friends is a woman for longer than all my other relationships with women combined.

Having testicles doesn't _necessarily_ mean one doesn't have any self-control.
