Congratulations!!

Everyone's "budget" is different. My daughter got married somewhat inexpensively in Las Vegas a couple years ago. Even though we lived in New England. The kids even paid for it themselves and didn't put themselves way into debt for one day (and a honeymoon) to start their new lives as a married couple. They had a complete package which included the limo ride from the hotel, pictures, beautiful room that could seat more people than I would have thought with flowers decorating it that they did not have to pay a florist for, and had an option to watch the wedding live via the internet "Live". Which actually worked out wonderfully as family was spread throughout the country, and even a brother who was stationed overseas at the time. Her pictures were given to her on a disk which was great to print out and send easily among family. More than anything, they had fun, but that might not be to everyone's taste, so it's just an idea to throw at you. My oldest son who recently got married and his fiancee spent between 25 and 30 Thousand on their wedding (and honeymoon). But they were planning AND SAVING for that for two years so as not to have tremendous DEBT along with a new house. Fighting over money is not the way to start off your first married year once the bills for the wedding start to roll in. If you're doing the wedding on an EXTREMELY TIGHT budget, count on family and friends who are almost always willing to help. If you are going to try to cater it yourselves and rent a local hall that can make the expenses better for a very small budget with no panic attacks over the weather for that day. If you do that, make sure you can count on family and/or friends to help with transporting the food and decorating (and un-decorating) the hall. If you go that route, I have plenty of budget conscious ideas and tricks to make it easier AND still give you a catered look. Whatever you decide, money or not....make it fun. You want to have a fun day that you can look back on for the rest of your lives.

Congrats. Some friends of mine got married last year and went to the dollar store to buy cheap stuff for their table settings. For the reception; they just had a buffet style as it saved them money from sit down served meals. Print off your own wedding invites from your home computer. Of course; use a cash bar for the wedding. Look online for wedding dresses at lower prices and have your local tailor adjust it for you. Keep the invite list small. These are all the ideas I can think of at this time.

My daughter just got married in Nov. They got married at a Mexican restaurant that has a outdoor venue. All tables was furnished and some decorations. The main decorations my daughter made her self she got a lot of the ideal off of this site... http://pinterest.com/

The total cost of her wedding was around $3,000 and that was feeding the guest and for the place as well.... If I understand right that was the preacher and all the decorations that she made...

She even bought all the brides maids dresses found them at Ross... plus the flower girl... here is what the tables looked like..

As far as the best man and all the guys they wore nice western shirts which my daughter and her new hubby bought then they wore jeans & boots...

She found a great deal on her wedding dress at David's Bridal around $300..

Thanks Soufie flowerforyou Of all my children, my daughter is the only one with dark eyes and hair (like her father). All of the boys have blue or greenish blue eyes and were blonde as little ones (go figure). You never know how the genes will splitlaugh

We have actually gotten a lot planned. I didn't realize the work it actually took!

So far we have a church wedding with a reception at a golf course and were doing an 8 inch cake with about 100 cupcakes under it from a local bakery that does cupcake wedding cakes, got a DJ lined up, dress and vail, we made the invitations on our computer and just got invitation stock from Office Depot.

Now we just need to figure out the flowers, ring, what I am gonna wear etc :)

We have already done all that biggrin Except that the golf course that we locked in for the reception does all the decorations!
