No the only way to know right from wrong is in what God has revealed to us, first by his prophets which were killed, then through his own Son which was killed.

I am not condeming anyone, atheism is self condemned for rejecting the existence of God, even though they have to ignore facts and they also reject Gods perfect law even though the consequences of doing so are obviously harmful.

That is your opinion and you are certainly entitled to it.

I think you would be happier if you would not let atheists get under your skin so much. laugh laugh

The harmful effects of disobeying Bible based morality is not an opinion but an observable fact.

Secularism has spread the drug and alcohol culture and all the STD's, crime, violence in society.

Christianity has delivered many from these things.

Lets look at atheistic morality.

1) Sexual freedom which has lead to the spread of AIDS, increased abortion rate, STD's all of which has turned a beautiful gift that propogates life and love into the spread of death and world wide suffering.

2) Party Culture that has lead to drug problems, alcoholics , domestic violence, crime, all of which is a gauntlet of things that are designed to ruin peoples lives.

3) Science which has lead to the dependance of technology, overpopulation, climate change, global warming which will lead to the next generation to suffer more then any other in history.

Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Atheist claim to have such a nobal morality that is above those who fear God but is that a fact.

We theist know that God is always watching but do atheist's hold to their supposed moral superiority when no one is watching?

The Bible says that, "They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."

There are none that doeth good.

I say that atheist's will only do good when it does themselves some good or out of fear of being caught by their peers, coworkers, family and the law of the land.

An easy test is this, do you break the law atheist when the law cannot catch you but keep the law when it can.

Example downloading pirated movies is popular but illegal.

Do those who download pirated movies keep to the speed limit and stop at red lights?

If so it proves that your superior morality is based on what you can and cannot get away with.

How say you atheist to this charge?

who cares about your contrived Charge!laugh

If I were to speak your kind of language, I would say that man’s only moral commandment is: Thou shalt think. But a “moral commandment” is a contradiction in terms. The moral is the chosen, not the forced; the understood, not the obeyed. The moral is the rational, and reason accepts no commandments.

My morality, the morality of reason, is contained in a single axiom: existence exists—and in a single choice: to live. The rest proceeds from these. To live, man must hold three things as the supreme and ruling values of his life: Reason—Purpose—Self-esteem. Reason, as his only tool of knowledge—Purpose, as his choice of the happiness which that tool must proceed to achieve—Self-esteem, as his inviolate certainty that his mind is competent to think and his person is worthy of happiness, which means: is worthy of living. These three values imply and require all of man’s virtues, and all his virtues pertain to the relation of existence and consciousness: rationality, independence, integrity, honesty, justice, productiveness, pride.

these threads are interesting,, the more often I read them, the more clear it becomes that people will believe what they choose to believe

and with neither atheist or religious being able to prove they are right or prove the other is wrong

it usually denigrates into who can belittle the other the most,,,,when will we learn,,,,,

believe what you want, leave others to do the same, there is no real point in trying to educate the true fool,,, whichever side you they may be on,,,

It is good that you are trying to be a better person, but I think you are passing judgement on others in general whom you do not even know.

Having morals and knowing right from wrong via spiritual instinct is not being "a law unto oneself." It is being a channel for God/Spirit.

Spirit (God) is omnipresent, meaning everywhere at all times, and in all things. I believe it speaks to everyone, even atheists via their subconscious and feelings.

I think the best way to demonstrate Godliness is by example, not by condemnation and criticism of others.

but so much easier and more rewarding to do!pitchfork

It sooo bolsters that Self-esteem!

You know, like the Pharisee and the Taxcollector in the Temple!

Thank Thee God That I Am Not Like Him!

Incorrect.

One can not blame another for one's own actions, regardless if they were tempted to or not. There is no passing the blame for again one's own actions, that is why everyone is accountable for their own actions.

Incorrect for you perhaps. You do not represent all Christians.
I have found that they blame the devil for their own actions, and they blame atheism for the problems in the world.

But why is it just a "me" thing and a "they" thing? Yeah, there may be one or two here that do as such, but that doesn't mean they represent the belief any more or any less then I or other's that don't look at it that way.

That's why God "judges", what would there to be to "judge" if all the blame was going to be set on Satan anyways?

In general, in my experience, and even in these forums, people blame the devil for things.

I read tarot cards and the Christians in my small town are terrified of me because they harbor the ridiculous belief that I am in league with Satan. It sounded so absurd to me, that I did not believe this was possible until I heard it strait out of the mouth of a preacher who knew other ministers in town.

I had listed all the churches on my city website and because I also had a few pages about tarot cards, I was asked, via a written letter, to remove all the information about the churches.

The fact that I was a tarot card reader put some of these Christians into a frenzy. It was unbelievable.

So yes, it is a 'they' thing.

Any you are not one of them. And for that I thank you.flowerforyou

Is it Christians spreading AIDS?

Is it Christians creating the drug and alcohol culture?

Is it Christians selling drugs on the streets to your kids?

Is it Christianity that is hiding the facts that disprove evolution?

What you got to understand that by the nature of the fall, we are inherently rebellious toward God and ultimately self seeking and full of self importance. By nature, without God we are prone to these traits.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
