Can someone please tell me,why most first relationships or first love, don't lead to marriage?

Probably because they're young and don't want to settle down yet. Probably because they haven't been in relationships before and make a lot of mistakes that they hopefully learn from. I guess that sometimes they are just desperate to have a boyfriend or girlfriend when they haven't had one before and they don't pick someone that is really right for them.

I say because they mistake fantasy for love. Also passion for reality.

Everyone has an idea of what love is. When they meet someone, they think "ahhh wow what a beautiful person". They don't see the real person until they've gotten to know them better. Everyone has an ideal of what love is. Unfortunately love is loving the person warts and all. First love is nice, but sadly it doesn't last.

Most of the time, first relationship doesn't last because you are each still shaping your own life and your own future. You are still an ever changing person exploring your own ideas. The person you become doesn't always match the ideal somebody fell in love with.

I don't think the culture promotes it, mostly.

We are encouraged to 'date' from teens on though we are not expected to be 'mature' enough to handle or consent to sex,,,

the lust leads, and is encouraged to lead, so it becomes harder and harder after time to discern substantial love from initial lust (also referred to as 'chemistry')

we just really are , as a culture, encouraged to 'sow our oats' before settling down,, because, allegedly, its the only way to know that we are choosing the right partner,,,,,

Because the idea of having more relationships before you settle down in one, is to learn what it is you like, want, need in a relationship and what you don't want, like and need. It's part of the learning curve and as I see it, a necessary step as well --> most ppl that skip the step of trying 'different flavours' split up at some point. And then end up trying the different flavours anyways, sometimes even go to extremes to find out what it is they want etc., cause there's only one way to find out which flavour suits you: try at least a few!

I don't know anyone that got together with a partner at a young age who's still in that relationship. Staying with your first love is basically skipping stepping stones in growing up.
The ones that do work out, are exceptions to the rule.

Your stomach is turning? Then try ...

It works well on infatuations.
