thats a heck no

i had a strange experience
not on this site

but i thought i felt a good vibe

this guy gave me his cell to text
so i called the next day
it was a older lady suposely
i call wrong number
right after i get a text
asking where i lived what i was wearing
and i text back and the next message
was from a sex broad who ever she was

and asking questions
and i didnt answer back
i went back onto that site
and he deleted his profile

what the heck does a scammer
get from that enjoyment

NOTHING!!!!!!!

and when someone offers there number
right off the batt.. it either a scammer
or there to much of a eager beaver

i delete all emails
with phone numbersnoway noway noway

I don't give my cell out because I'm not dating. I don't think it would be the right thing to do; developing a more personal relationship by talking but never allowing a meet.

I would feel selfish if I did that.

I have had a lot of guys give me their phone number on first contact and say to text. I never do. That ends it for me. If those guys gave it some time, maybe I would have stuck around.

I have to totally trust that person before I hand mine over.

Takes more than a few days

If i don't trust them I don't waste my time on them

That would be my approach too, cat. We would have to chat for a while first just for me to get to that comfort level.

I've had quite a few first time messages on here asking me to call their cell, and each time i have Googled the code they gave. They were ALL either in West Africa,or a premium rate international direct number.

This is something I have never done. I don't offer my cell # to anyone on a first contact message. If you stop and think about it, it's a crazy thing to do. About two weeks ago I had to handle, Well, More like try to handle this complaint from a guy that said he gave this woman his cell number. If you wanted to do that on a 20 dollar, throw away phone, OK. No big deal. But this guy gave the number from his regular cell that he had paid good money for.

The woman turned out to be a little kook. She was blowing up his phone all hrs of the day or night. Wouldn't leave him alone. It never even got to the first date. This woman was leaving his phone full. He said 200 TXT a day. And about 100 voice messages. He gave this woman his phone number at first contact. I told him I couldn't do anything. He would have to take it above me. In this world now you have no idea who you are talking to. Giving your cell number to a stranger, Well, I hate to say it, but it's the truth.

Be careful what you ask for. You might get it. And once you have it. You may not be able to get rid of it.

Ohh. if I had a nickel every time I gave out my cell phone number !..I could Afford to use the payphone lol.. in the beginning I handed my number out like tic tacs.... I have now learnt.. to at least get a picture of them holding up a newspaper in front of themselves a proof of life picture.laugh  ...
so easy to get tricked with that picture of them 20 years ago, just to find out... after they have my number ..that was a picture of them !20 years ago lol....

There are only two on here that have my Facebook and that's because I trust them and know they have all their sandwiches in their picnic basket and again like the cell number it was a few months of chatting on here before that was said even including my name.
Neither have of them have shown that they can't be trusted.
Thank you to you both.

I am more careful now and I don't give my number out very often.

I do speak to one man on here quite regularly on the phone and that's all great and I trust him and he wouldn't give my number to anyone else.

even though he locks me in the wardrobe every now and then for rainy days, its all good. lol laugh laugh

It could be worse. Back when I first started this online dating thing, I met this woman through this site. She was fine. I mean really good looking. I rolled with it. It took me two months to finally talk this fine looking woman into meeting me. Long story short, this person I was talking to was not the person I met. The whole time I was talking to this womans daughter. I know this may sound mean, The woman I met looked like she had fallen out of the ugly tree and hit every limb on the way down. And she wasn't 33. She was 56 if I remember right. I was 44 at the time. I swear, she looked like she crawled out of bed and came on. She looked like Phyllis Diller on a bad day.

No, Im not one for talking on the phone. I've only been on this site an hour or so...I can see there are many issues on here.
